I got offered a job doing laser alignment work on minesweeper vessels in the Persian Gulf about 3/4 years ago. My company at the time wouldn't pay me the money I wanted though. Cheap ****ers.

Some of the Yank contractors were on $250,000 a year and that was just the ones who were doing the "graft" and not the managers who were on stupid money.

I asked for £1000 a day minimum and they said no, they wanted to pay me £750. I told them to find someone else. They wanted me to do 6 weeks on and 3 off. It would have been good money same as the job I got offered in Abu Dhabi but I couldn't be ****ed living in a desert all that time
