You have to give MLS fans credit for the travelling insane distances to get to games. For Kansas City, stadium to stadium, it's 585 miles to Colorado, 526 miles to Dallas, 515 miles to Chicago.

Then you've got Wellington Phoenix from NZ, who compete in the A-League. Their away trip to Perth Glory is 3268 miles!

 

Maritimo also come to mind. And Guernsey FC.

 

Hey Mr. Nice, saw a headline on Virgin Media's home page and thought of you, basically it's claiming Taylor Swift to be the Yoko Ono of One Direction. I don't know a great deal about Yoko but from what I do know, I'm sure that could be considered quite a big insult to Taylor.

 

Erm...that's an insult to The Beatles more than anything else.

 

Yes, comparing One Direction to the Beatles does seem more than a little ridiculous. At least the Beatles wrote their own songs and were original.

Superb, George Martin seemed to be enjoying himself too.

 

That's an excerpt from a documentary called A Day In The Life [after the Beatles song] celebrating George Martin. Various artists, including Jim Caeerey went along to Abbey Road studios to record cover versions of Beatles songs. I must say, Carrey's version of I Am The Walrus is very impressive, although it does help to start out with one of their best. Just realised I've still got the whole thing on VHS. I think Parlaphone/Apple released a CD.

EDIT: Oh dear. I recorded over it with Long Way Round..!

 

I might have to send Mr. Amazon some more tax-free money for that!

I can't face a future where Saints can't beat Pompey. Still not sure that it wouldn't be better to start again in nonleague, but Chanrai deserves to lose everything. Am truly sorry for decent Pompey supporters and there are a lot of them (despite what some think).
