Hopefully, it would be a massive shame if she didn't. Unlike any other X-Factor contestant, she writes her own songs and performed a few of them in the live shows, such as this one:

I'm usually somewhat skeptical of original songs (they weren't great in Glee) but this is actually a really nice song, lyrically and melodically. Definitely something you could imagine Amy Macdonald singing.

She also sang an interesting rendition of Titanium, keeping the original chorus but adding her own lyrics to the verses, completing changing the meaning of the song:

There's not many X-Factor contestants I've ever really liked that much (except Katie Wassail, but that was mainly due to her quirky personality, although she did have a good voice) but I think she's genuinely very talented.

 

gomarchingin is banned?! That's amazing news. I don't really care about "banned for having a different opinion freedom of speech" etc, end of the day he pissed off a lot of people, and made the forum a worse place. A lot of the time it seemed like he was being contrary just to annoy people. The fact he's gone improves the forum, therefore in my mind the banning is fully justified.

Indeed it is, I certainly wouldn't argue that point. In fact, the last 3 tracks off Apple Venus are pure jewels. I Can't Own Her , Harvest Festival and The Last Balloon.

 

Well I've been trying to argue for a while that there might be a case for banning him because he's ruining the site for everyone else, even if he isn't technically breaking any rules. Sounds like he might actually have broken a rule today though, so that's good.

 

I spent a lot of this evening listening to Taylor Swift. I enjoyed it. I suppose that makes me technically a teenage girl, right?

Stinks of mediocrity.

 

I put off listening to Taylor Swift for years because I fancy her and thought her music would ruin my impression of her. It didn't.

 

Then I would forever associate you with Dannii Minogue, and I know none of us want that. I think I'll go with Danielle, because it makes you sound like an innocent little girl with pigtails and a frilly dress. You know, like a Taylor Swift fan.

 

There was a Danielle in my year at school. She was probably the most popular girl in school, but also a slut and left after GCSEs to go to private school.

 

A big ugly 6'4/5"ish ****er with pigtails and a frilly dress listening to Taylor Swift. I can get on board with that.
