I'm a little disappointed as I've not seen Rolf get his hands dirty yet he just seems to be narrating

Neil Reynolds this week as a guest, don't know if they're planning to have him in regularly or what.

Not going to count myself as a fan anymore but I still have my Dan Marino Miami Dolphins shirt in the cupboard somewhere, purchased from Toomers, and I think I can put my hand on my pristine copy of the Superbowl XXV.

Just checked and no I can't..! Now where the hell has that gone..? The Dolphins shirt is still there though.

I liked their early stuff. I have jusy got out their first LP and am enjoying the songs which in the main are quite gentle. Not so keen on their later work.

I have to say my first real love is early American country blues and I also cajun music. I really enjoy slide guitar.

Many years ago I bought a guitar and taught my self to play but never got beyond strumming. It would appear that I do not have a musical memory. I know a bum note when I hear one but I cannot sing in key. How is that for a contradiction?

I'm not really a big fan of Stayin' Alive and Night Fever and such, but some of their (relatively) lesser known songs, I think, are really good. Massachusetts, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Alone, One, etc.

Interesting that you chose that particular song as Shaun Ryder describes the lyrics as being "rock hard" with its' descriptions of the ghettos of NYC ("whether you're a 'mother' or whether your a 'brother', you're stayin alive") and even covered it with his band The Happy Mondays, but generally I agree, they're not for me also.
