Anyone see the pompey article in The Sun? Saying Pompey will have to pay 24 ex players wages until 2016. They will have to pay a total of £108k a month.

If that's true, there's no way they can sustain that for 3 years. When do the parachute payments run out?

Yep, somehow they still owe Steve Finnan money. They owe Nugent £143k, Kitson £608k and Mullins £632k.

Oh, and Tal Ben-Haim is owed £1.6m.
 
Nice to see Joel Ward, the apparent "local hero" & "Pompey fan" is still leaching them of £20,000. Top man.

Add to that Jamie Ashdown and Jason Pearce, two more apparent "Pompey fans" who are taking over £100,000 that the club doesn't have. Absolutely delightful.

Ah fair enough, 20 million would be ridiculous. You're right it's not particularly good of them to demand the money, but Pompey are still liable to pay them. If we were in this situation do you think Lallana etc would still want to be paid? I think probably.
 
I just caught the end of Seattle Sounders vs Chicago Fire. Seattle had Djimi Traore and Obafemi Martins playing, they won 2-1.


Houston Dynamo vs New York Red Bulls is on tonight, live.

Los Angeles Galaxy vs Colorado Rapids is being replayed at 16:30 too.

I found me some football. :)

I'm not sure, what I find most hilarious however, is the fact that Norris and Ward who were deemed local heros after scoring equalising goals against us are actually contributing to the death of Pompey by claiming over £200,000. You can only laugh.
