Isn't she a dentist? You guys will be fine.

(P.S. what toothbrush and toothpaste do dentists really use?)

She just started the degree.

I think they just steal all the free samples.

Get some experience before you graduate and you'll surely get a good job faster than me (as long as you have a 2:1 or better).

I won't be able to get relevant experience, given that I have no idea what I want to do :(

Last night I watched the film K-Pax for the second time ever. I don't know what happened the first time, but I really enjoyed it this go round. Very uplifting and lots of humanity. Then -DTLW recommended I watch Cry Freetown, which you ought to, and which was also very moving. [yes, I mean YOU reading this now. there's the Youtube link back there so go and click on it. Go on. it's less than half an hour. You can spare that] Thing is, what to watch this evening..? I'm keen on another thoroughly good film. Nothing crap or cheap action/thrill. Dr Strangelove [again]..? Master & Commander [yet again]..? The Prestige..? Nanny McPhee..? ;)

Just get anything in an office. It's not nice having interview after interview and the feedback you get every time is "you were great, but you have no office experience, so we're going with someone who does".

Do something generic like an internship in some kind of office, for a charity or something. Even if you don't want to work in the charity sector, the experience will be good.

Yeah, I should have really done stuff like that this summer, but the idea of it being my last ever summer put me off that. I'll have to look into getting something done this year really.

I watched Whitechapel great tv series.

Bollocks. I meant to record that.

You missed an entire series..? <laugh>

Tbh, I shouldn't laugh. I've done that in the last couple of years. These days, with series lasting all of 3 episodes, it's actually quite easy to do. Especially as nowadays we all get another chance with iPlayer and such. It reduces the commitment to being there, with the remote control in the hand. :)

Have I missed the whole series?!

I meant to record tonight's episode but nodded off. :)

@nytimes: Breaking News: Senate Foreign Relations Panel Approves Resolution on Military Action in Syria
http://t.co/eqDfdEsmLj

No surprise there. Funny that the vast majority of the population is against it, but the politicians are largely for it. I think it's really a case of the people being worried about getting involved in the next Iraq, and not really understanding what the aim of this resolution actually is. The more I read about it, the more convinced I am that it's a good idea.

I. HATE. BAR. WORK.

On a brighter note though, a recruitment agency called me today and passed on my CV for a job that's actually law related! There is hope!

You've finished early for a bar job! I was always in until past midnight and I only worked at a country pub!

The Prestige is one of my all time favourites, I absolutely love that film.

I have indeed, and now I have five days off! Three of the staff are students and they leave next week. That's when the new rota kicks in and I get more typical hours.

You're lucky, I don't think I ever got more than two days off at a time. The hours suck and so does the pay, I hated bar work.
