I would have thought so. Even highly respected news agencies get lazy these days. Only Reuters seem immune from inaccuracy.

Trains have been in the news(for the wrong reasons) a **** load the past few months.
I am pleased to say that my wife used to watch a lot of them when we first met. She no longer watches any soaps.
I've not been immune in the past. When I was a kid I used to watch Coronation Street, with Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner, etc.., but I quickly grew out of it. I gave Eastenders a few episodes when it first came out. But when the genre became openly recognised in the 1980's for its ongoing, hooking nature, I realised I was being reeled out and reeled in again. That was enough. I gave them up as one would give up smoking without a twinge of withdrawal. Nowadays, I'm giving up TV as an entire medium, in favour of doing things instead.
I actually love Coronation Street and Home and Away. Not sure why. Addictive.
After agonising dental work this morning, I've been offered some work with Brentford Football Club this week...
