This cricket is frustrating.

They should just call it off an reschedule it for tomorrow. The idea of sharing the trophy without play demeans the purpose of having a tournament.

With India going off the Carribean, and us playing NZ on Tuesday, there was/is no chance of this ever being rescheduled for tomorrow.

Ordinarily, I'd be worried about our chances here if India get to 150 or above. But this is no ordinary t20 match. Two white balls, only four men on the boundary, a two over batting PP (I assume it will still exist) to take at any point.

Surely an international tournament should take precedence over these games.

Yes, of course. But it's too late to change things now. That's an arguement for when the international fixture list is in the process of being drawn up each time.

Why on earth a reserve wasn't factored in, I don't know. But it wasn't, so we have to live with it.

Michael Atherton earlier was totally correct though. There is just simply no need for t20 cricket at international level, save for the t20 world cup. These two t20s vs NZ this week for example are totally and utterly pointless, save for making the cricket boards some money. (And that clearly is the reason for playing them).

It is strange how much mid week cricket there is. Have you any idea what the attendances are like?

As nice as it is to have a tournament in England, is it the best place for it?

Generally speaking midweek cricket, particularly limited overs cricket at county level, is as a result of Sky. Juast as the non-3pm Saturday PL matches are.

I've not seen how many tickets have been sold for the two England t20 games this week, but I'd imagine the Oval will be about 2/3s full for both. From my experience of midweek t20 matches at the Rose Bowl, 6,000 is probably a rough average for Hampshire home games. Maybe a touch less? I've been to a few weekend matches which were 75%+ full, but it's very rare for a midweek match.

Brilliant over Ravi! Dhoni gone!!

Double wicket maiden over from Bopara.

Not usually my favourite cricketer but I have just called him a legend.

Would be brilliant to keep them under 100 here, but if you offered me 120 now, I would absolutely take it.

Surely there is someone better than Bresnan who could be in this team. 11 off the over (including 2 wides).
