I am watching Boris Johnson & Andy Murray vs Michael McIntyre and Tim Henman at Queens. How bizarre.

Here's a very odd question. Are any of you receiving or have received old vehicle log books in the post..?

Yesterday, I heard the letterbox clatter and so I went to investigate. Annoyingly, it wasn't what I was expecting, but instead there was an envelope with fairly anonymous style print on the face, with my name and address on it. Inside was an old log book for a 1962 Triumph Tiger Cub T20. I have never owned this bike at all, although I did own a '65 Sports Tiger Cub T20SH for a few years back in the late 1970's [crikey, I'd love that back now]. I haven't the remotest clue who has sent me this and I've asked around as well.

    Curious..!

Getting close in Cardiff. NZ needed quite a few, but had started to hit out. Now their best batsman has gone...nearly called a no ball but phew not given.

That's bizarre. By log book do you mean the V5C?

Nope, I mean the log book or the RF60 Registration book. It pre-dates the V5C. Here's an example image of the inside of one:

St.G and others will recognise it like an old friend. :)

I've never seen one of those let alone have a random one arrive through my letter box <rofl>

I do keep getting flyers for Sterling Automotive on my windscreen when I park at work though <grr> MG, Rover and Jag specialists, my arse.

Bit nervous about tomorrow. Especially as the role I seem to have acquired isn't the one I applied for and I think I may have been more qualified for the other one, though they are quite similar.

    Eeek.

Also, just played a several hour game of AoE3, 8 player all against all on moderate difficulty. Wasn't that easy really, as you'd attack someone and someone else would attack you and there was one point where I could have lost it. I do like AoE3 though, I know AoK is considered the peak of the series, and it was good, but I like the whole idea of exploring a new and undiscovered continent. Who knows what you might find in the virgin forests of New England?

Remember, Pomps, no one at your new job will be trying to catch you out. They will try to help you settle in, so don't worry.

Just look forward to meeting your new colleagues. Be genuine and they'll take you for what you are.

People will help you to learn the ropes regardless, don't let on that you feel any less qualified.

Pretend to be confident and you'll soon become genuinely confident. Or something.
