    Exactly.

The names getting thrown around on the RedAndWhiteKop forum as a replacement for Suarez are mind-blowing. For all the talk of rebuilding etc. the fact is they have been in decline since they won their European Cup. Next we'll be hearing that Ronaldo is angling for a move to Nottingham Forest for their rich footballing heritage.

    Also, they've got no choice.

If he wants to go, and a club is willing to pay what will probably be a ludicrous amount of money for him, they've had it and would be better off getting a move on and getting the cash in the bank for a replacement. Can you imagine having a sulking Suarez hanging about the place, I shudder at the thought.

It might sound insensitive, but I can't look at a Liverpool forum without thinking they really need to shut up about Hillsborough already.

I haven't been looking at any forums (I wouldn't subject myself to that punishment), but a Liverpool-supporting friend of mine dogmatically believes they are going to sell Suarez for £40m and Carroll for £20 to add to their imaginary £30m budget and then buy Lewandowski, Lamela, Alonso and Ogbonna. Apparently the race for the title (Never mind getting CL first) has been blown wide open and the players will recognise that Liverpool are going to rule the next 20 years.

Oh lord. Would be impressive if they could pull it off, but their levels of delusion outstretch Arsenal fans sometimes.

I had a look on RAWK but I think I'm too stupid to navigate it properly. Couldn't find any transfer target discussion.

I've seen Lewandowski, Ibrahimovic and Cavani mentioned in various threads.

Although my all time favourite was the misguided chap that suggested that Real could send Messi the other way....umm....:emoticon-0181-fubar

RAWK meltdown on twitter is well worth a follow, a Utd fan that posts up the more hilarious comments from the forum.

I know what you mean, Joe. I can sympathise that it is till raw with anyone who was around at the time or was personally affected, what grinds me a little is 14-year-olds from Surrey who's family has never ventured further north than Coventry preaching about it and acting as if they have been personally victimised. I fully support respecting and honouring the dead but make it about them not about yourself.

I have a friend who is a Liverpool supporter, but his young son supports Saints. I walked to St Mary's with them before our game against Liverpool having to listen to the predictions of our ensuing devastation at the hands of the mighty Suarez and company, I listened politely and gave my opinion that we had been playing well and could easily scrape a draw or possibly win, to which I was mocked heavily.

The walk back to the station with them was probably the most enjoyable part of my season.
