    So it seems that Poyet tendered his resignation so that Everton could avoid the £2.4m compensation that was putting them off of him.

    This could get interesting.

    Also, what a great way for Gus to repay the faith and finances that were granted to him at Albion.

    He's been biding his time at Brighton. He's said on numerous occasions about his ambitions to manage in the PL sooner rather then later and has seemed eager to jump ship. Not surprised. Hopefully he does a Odemwingie and just turns up at Goodison without an invite.

    They won't avoid paying compensation...every time this is attempted, it ends in a suit and settlement. Chances are that Brighton will eventually settle for less than the £2.4m, though.

    Can't simply quit without Brighton's input and then immediately take another job. Unless he had a clause to that effect (he almost certainly did not) it's breach of contract.

    Damned United is a great film. Might add that to my likes on OkCupid. Bound to get lots of hits after that!

    Also Greece got through. Seemed to be more entertaining acts tonight than on Tuesday.

    Forgot to mention. The opening scenes show where Leeds Utd got their Dirty reputation from. The present day team try their best to emulate it them but Bremner, Giles and Charlton, and their teammates were the real dirty Leeds.
