Too right. It's very easy for other people to say it as advice but it's really true, there's nothing that can't be solved with time. Except like, fatal illnesses, those just get worse.

Unless you consider death to be a solution, in which case the saying is always true.

I know it's a cliche but it's about the best and most apt saying that has comforted me with losses in the past...."Time heals all wounds"
Who knows who you might meet on one of those beaches this summer?...beats the hell out of working in a sweaty factory!

Yeah I appreciate the sentiment. But how much time! I don't want to meet anyone else I just want to be with my ex so the whole plenty more fish thing doesn't work with me.

Solves everything! I watched it again today...

[nsfw]The scene with Arya and Gendry was heartbreaking, thinking back on when Gendry first recognised her... "Don't call me m'lady!" "As m'lady commands!". :([/nsfw]

[nsfw]"I could be your family." :(

Also, "could you bring back a man without a head? Not six times, just once."

She killed it in that episode. [/nsfw]

[nsfw]Another particularly touching bit was...

"He was a good man. I would never wish my life upon him."

"I would. You're alive."

She's brilliant. Amazing to think she was a complete absolute nobody before GOT.[/nsfw]

When you enter Yeovil, they have a city boundary sign that says, 'Yeovil, heart of the country, mind of a city', makes me chuckle every time!

I was thinking, the other day, of the billboards that used to line Thomas Lewis Way, leading into Bevois Valley. On one of them was the sign:

You Are Now Entering Le God's Country.

I'd love to see a photo of that old billboard. :)

One of my guild mates in WoW says I should watch GoT..... Should I? I'm always a bit sceptical about something so popular, thinking if it's that popular it can't be that good. I thought that about Harry Potter for years. Then I read it.... Turned out I was mistaken in that regard and now I'm a member of a Harry Potter RPG forum/server (albeit one I haven't been on in a couple of months)..... So, not sure really.

Game of thrones is excellent fun. It's strongly character driven, and well written. There's some excellent dialogue, and some sharp and intriguing characters. It doesn't overly do the effects i.e. dragons and direwolves, but with each series there is a bit more, probably due to an increase in budget. The sets are good, but its the strength of the characters, and the fact that each episode jumps around following these different playes across the fantasy world that keeps it interesting. Look out for characters such as Tyrion, Veries (spelling?) and Arya. Great stuff. Oh yeh, it's raunchy and violent too, but not every episode. Whats not too like?

More effects started coming in at the start of the second series. It isn' t a coincidence.

Having read all the books before the first series came out I was a bit fearful of what they'd do to the story lines and characterisation, but with George R R Martin on the production team they have pretty much nailed it. Any slight changes have all been improvements, which is fine.

Oh, and for those who say that Episode 5 (of Series 3) is the best yet, I would have to agree with you. And as for Arya, she was one of my favourite characters from the books, but Maisie Williams has taken her to a completely different level. As others have said, she is brilliant, and has a great future.

Meh, I just naturally think someone that popular is overrated probably.

Like Jesse J or Emile Sande.

Sometimes, Lapras, things or people are popular because they deserve to be. Don't be such a cynic! And for a show that isn't broadcast on terrestrial TV, Game of Thrones has an amazingly large following, largely, I would guess, from illegal downloads, so you can't attribute its popularity to media pressure. Just have a look at it before you start judging, I would advise.

Vince century. Great knock.

Been saying it for three years now: the lad WILL play one day cricket for England at some point in his career. Hopefully I'll witness another top innings from him at home tomorrow.

Brilliant to see him finally starting to get his head down in four day cricket too. Always been his weak-link to date.
