The top of league 1 is going to go right down to the wire. Last game of the season: Brentford (3rd) v Doncaster (1st). That plays right into Bournemouth's hands of course.

 

Plus, they've had plenty of time to come to accept that fate; with the looming points deduction, relegation looked extremely likely by mid-January, a dead certainty by February. So seeing it made official isn't likely to be too cruel of a blow.

 

First episode of Game Of Thrones done, must say I have no idea what is going on, I just know there is a lot of incest and the danerys girl is just a little bit pretty.

 

Stick with it. Took me a while to get my head around who's who, the different families and house names etc. But you'll get there and in the meantime you've got Daenerys to gawk over.

 

I tend to watch episodes more than once. There's always stuff that goes over my head, like that Arya and the Hound bit that I mentioned this morning.

 

I still struggle with names. Only just learned Barristan Selmy.

 

Yeah I've seen series 1 a couple of times and the second time round I noticed new things in a fair few episodes. When I meet up with my mate, we have a GOTathon and so I'll see series 2 again soon enough.

They ought to caption it with a brief descriptor of the person being mentioned. There have been at least a couple instances where grave discussions of someone having been killed took place, and I hadn't the foggiest clue to whom they referred.

 

Ahh yeah him, thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing more of him this series seeing as he is supposed to be one of the best 'fighters' in all of Westeros.

Cardiff owner Vincent Tan just said promotion was down to the change to "lucky red". Dear me.

I've been vaguely wondering what you lot have been talking about with your occasional NSFW messages, and it's that bleeding Game of Thrones series. I take the NSFW messages are spoilers..?

 

Yeah, I always find it safer to include everything in NSFW tags, cause I know how annoying even the most minor of spoilers can be.

 

Give us a quick summary, Dan. What am I missing that has got the TV viewing public agog..?

 

Hoards of interesting characters, multitudes of engaging storylines, and tits. Lots and lots of tits.

 

It's just really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really good. As Dan tactfully alluded to just then, there is a lot of nudity, but that's not what makes it good. The storyline is the most gripping I've watched in years, if not ever. Each episode could be 5 hours long and I'd still desperately want more at the end.

 

That would be the healthy attitude, and one I would encourage Portsmouth fans to adopt.

But I can't help but notice how many of them are still whining about how they were supposedly screwed.

 

A couple of Pompey fans I know don't think they should lose points in League 2 and I had to point out that we lost points after relegation. And it has to be borne in mind that our financial 'crimes' were far less, whilst other teams have been treated even more harshly. Personally, I think the league may not impose the deduction on the grounds that the club will be 'fan owned.' Not agreeing with it, but just a feeling I have.
