So.... Sam Bradford at the Vikings? I didn't really see the Eagles much last season, how did they do?
Mark Sanchez is now in Dallas, after being signed by the Broncos to be "the man" Then the Broncos signed other men. Now, after being cut, he is backing up an virtual unknown since Tony Romo is now injured for the fourth straight year. The Sanchize is dead, miss him, miss him. Sam Bradford was deemed redundant in Philly. They will do the same with or without him. Good, not great, in a now awful division. The Eagles drafted their QB of the future in Carson Wentz and Bradford was in the way (and expensive). He went to the Vikes when Teddy Bridgewater got injured and is now out for the year. Good pickup for the Vikes. Bradford can turn both left AND right to hand the ball to Adrian Peterson.
Considering Bridgewater had focused a lot on his deep passing, as well as getting Treadwell and presumably the intention for Diggs to have a break out year, I'd have thought the original intention was to improve our passing game... Perhaps that's still the case even with Bradford.
Bradford did OK. Didn't get lot of help from Kelly & our Defense at crucial situations. He will be better in Minnesota.
He actually kicked it as Denver called a timeout. I think that a rule should be introduced that once the players are set for a FG attempt, no timeout should be allowed, it's pure gamesmanship.
Hate to say it PM, but it looks like it's going to be a tough season already. Winston looks bad in the first quarter.
He looked pretty good in 2 and 3 though! It's too early to say but TB looked like a new team yesterday. The TD from Sims was the highlight for me, he left 6 Falcons trailing in his wake. please log in to view this image
Btw, Diggs looks awesomeeeee, Hill made some good passes too. Though we probably do focus a bit more on running than we should...
The San Francisco struggle begins in earnest tonight! I actually fancy them to win nicely tonight but Chip Kelly has a hell of a job on his hands. Skins had a great year last year- can they build on it? They face a Steelers ride without the brilliant Le'Veon Bell and a couple of others so I have the Skins to edge it and score at home.
Big Red always does that in the initial weeks & goof up in later weeks. Chargers always goof up in the opening weeks & straighten it in the last few weeks - no surprise there.
Good performance from the 49ers as they win 28-0 to kick off Chip Kelly's reign. They will need to sort out QB though. Who knows, Kaepernick could yet come back into the fold.
Their defense was fantastic last night. However- like you- I'm reserving judgment as the Rams might be a very poor side in the early part of the season. Hopefully the Niners are improving but let's take it one step at a time.
We have made playoffs twice in last three seasons and he won 10 straight after a poor start last season when we were 1-5.... Chargers however were ****e throughout so don't get your point. To come back from that deficit is a result for any team and shows grit.
Poor Young Wentz.. battling the elements - awful refs, even more awful Eagles D rearing its head. Dropped regulation catches.. ****ing open tackles missed by our D.. hope Wentz is dealt better - he deserves better.
