I remember as a 6 year old kid, writing a story about a pilot who was shot down by an unknown enemy. He bailed out at an incredible height and minutes went by until he was able to get his parachute to open. In the story, I conveyed this by writing half a page of... down he went, down down down down [and so on]. I was called to the teacher who sent me to the headmistress who castigated me for wasting paper. Years later, while reading a story as a change from cramming Environmental Science BSc, I came across a descriptive section of a bird that was shot and fell down, down down [and so on]. I was a cult story, well appreciated by the public and critics alike. In the Arts, rules are merely a guide.

We are fifth in the Fair Play league. Don't understand why we aren't higher...we don't get many cards especially reds, rarely show disrespect to the refs, both of our managers have been well behaved. Wierd.

 

You'd be surprised. It's happened at least a half dozen times this season.

Oh Yes..! Proper racing just came back. Valentino has still got it in spades. And Cal is going to have a great season too.

I enjoyed that more than yesterday's match.

 

He really shouldn't have denied it. I know everyone was getting annoyed at him for dodging the question for so long, but he should have stayed quiet. The fact is he's a footballing person and probably not all that knowledgeable politically. He has some opinions which he should either keep to himself or stick up for, because to be honest they're not even that offensive. The media showed just how petty and intolerant they themselves can be, and he shouldn't have given them the time of day.

 

I'll never forget the infamous Saints chant of "Paolo's a ****io" at West Ham about 10 years ago.

 

That was awesome, that ridiculously long straight shafted Cal but I'm convinced we'll see come good once the going gets twisty. So good to see Rossi back to near his best again, haven't ever seen him with such a big smile on his face. What else can you say about Marquez, that kid has so much talent it's ridiculous it's already clear he isn't going to let the occasion get to him in MotoGP.
