Lincoln seems the sort of film one really must see at the cinema.
I was so glad I went to see The Artist there too and didn't wait for the DVD.

My understanding was that Murray is being dropped at the end of this season to be replaced by Mark Chapman. Could be why he was less animated.

Hence my observation of his presenting manner this Sunday. The clue is in my apparent disappointment. :)

Just making a completely out of touch observation here, so I'm merely asking for clairification...

I've stumbled onto the HT show of the Super Bowl [I don't think I'll stick around as I've got an excellent CS Forester - Hornblower novel on the go], but I see Beyonce with her backing singers, and it has struck me more than once that her backing singers are every bit as good as her [hang on, I'm not saying the standard is anything more than mediorce musically, but at least it isn't rap]. So what I'm asking is... What's so good aboout Beyonce..? I actually thought one of the backing singers might be a better bet for fronting a band..!

I'll read the answer, if I get one, in the morning. Off to the Mediterranean Sea around Malta, in my book.

Enjoy your book. I'm not a Beyonce fan, nothing against her, but not a fan. People seem to like her bum quite a lot so maybe that's why?

A few days ago, I mentioned to a friend that I was given a jar of 'ghost peppers'. As I was going to their place for the Super Bowl, they suggested that I bring the jar of peppers with me, so that I/we (realistically, just me) could eat one at some point to the amusement of all. This seemed like a good idea, because I am not terribly bright. I brought the peppers, and having had a few drinks (we're talking "three beer" rather than "fall face first on the ground while screaming at the concrete") and steeled myself, I bit into one. It was...moderately spicy. Tangy, even. No blood vessels popped, no shooting pain rending my face to pieces. I chewed and ate a whole one, same. Either these peppers are not what the label suggests, or I have no remaining tastebuds. Either way, I'm disappointed.

The inventor of Etch A Sketch, Andre Cassagnes, has died in France. No one knows how or why.

We'll just have to draw our own conclusions.

In today's news, local MP Chris Huhne has managed to turn a speeding ticket into a jail sentence. What an intelligent chap.

Time for a tactical vote, I think. Can't be having this ridiculous EU referendum. Let's go Labour.

Normally, I don't divulge such information but on this occasion will tell you.

I will walk to the polling station and mark a cross next to one of the candidates before depositing it in the ballot box.
I hope that satisfies your curiosity!

Apparently Farage could be going for it, that'd be funny.
