I'm not sure. Something to do with rep power, the more you have the more you can influence someone else's rep by giving them either positive or negative rep. Don't know how to get rep power other then from others who have rep power, but then how did they get the rep power!?

 

when someone likes (or dislikes) something they can rep you positively or negatively which I'm sure you know. The amount of rep you receive from someone depends on the rep power of that person. So if lamballana reps someone that person will get ****loads of rep!

 

I wondered that for a while but I found the answer a few days ago!

Well, I get that that's where the serious reppers go to up their rep power. But, um. Well, I guess I'll have to investigate.

 

Well I just went on there and poked around and next minute my rep power went up from 25 to 262!

 

There's someone who instead of being a senior member or moderator is a 'REP Whore'. Perhaps they started the rep love in.

All of my rep has been earned through the conventional means. Also, I appear to have more likes than everyone else, so clearly I am better than all of you.

 

Only 8 more than me, and 48 more dislikes, my differential is far better.

Well to be fair, she's always been a bit slow in replying, even when we've arranged to meet up in the past. Not that I can talk, I have a message I need to reply to from Wednesday. Also, I wouldn't have the cojones to ring her! So there's still a chance.....

As for rep power, apparently it's partly based on how long you've been a member and other similar factors.

Also there's an interesting game on Steam this weekend, Gratuitous Space Battles. Pretty much does what it says on the tin.
