Don't you need to have soul gems which you've used to take the souls of foes to do that? And how on earth do you do that? I never got how to use soul gems.

 

Use soul trap magic (or stick it on a weapon)

 

Yeah, learn the Soul Trap spell, and cast it on an enemy before killing them. If you have an empty soul gem that is the same size or larger than the soul of the enemy, it will absorb that soul. Human souls can only fill dark soul gems, mammoths and giants have grand souls I think, but generally the tougher the enemy, the bigger his soul. The bigger the gem, the better the enchantment. If you just run around with some empty gems and kill wolves and bears and stuff, you'll capture a lot of souls, albeit not grand ones.

An easier way to do it is with Azura's star, which can capture any souls and can be re-used, and a weapon with the soul trap enchantment. That way, everything you kill with that weapon fills Azura's star, and you can use it again and again. Or you can just buy already filled gems off some people, but they're expensive and that doesn't really help you make money.

If you can't be bothered to do all that, just make jewellery and sell it without enchanting it. You'll still make a lot of cash.

In other news, you know that girl I mentioned who I like who's now single? Well, I can't help but wonder what's going on there as just came up on Facebook that she posted a photo on her (ex-)bf's wall, and so I was naturally curious. Turns out it's a SW-y picture about the Pope, but I'm just wondering what's going on if they have such a positive relationship that they're posting photos on each others walls, especially as she put a kiss in the post as well. So was it just a very amicable break up and they're endeavouring to still be good friends? Are they still going out but for some reason set their relationship single? Are they on break? Surely if you're on a break, you wouldn't change your relationship status to single. Likewise if you're going out with someone, you wouldn't set your relationship status as single. Makes you wonder why they broke up in the first place though.... So confusing.

Maybe they've decided to be friends. Or one of them has. A lot of the time you'll find that the dumper makes an extra effort to be friends, because they feel bad about hurting the dumpee, and the dumpee goes along with it because s/he thinks there's a chance the dumper will remember what s/he is missing if they stay in touch. This just makes things worse because it gives the dumpee false hope and prevents him/her from moving on. Eventually it all culminates in a big argument when they realize this friends thing isn't going to work. If they're particularly pathetic, they'll repeat this process multiple times.

Or it could just not be that at all.

Indeed, that could be what it is I suppose, thanks it's interesting to hear different views. Do wonder what happened as they seemed to be quite close (not that I ever met him) though when I last met up with her (just a few days before it happened) she didn't mention her bf once but that didn't register. Then again, she didn't mention him at all for the first few months I knew her although after I found out she was in a relationship, she'd mentioned him fairly regularly. Unfortunately I don't have any mutual friends to find out what happened.

 

Yep, this does happen an awful lot. It's normally quite funny to observe, too, if it all happens on Facebook.
