I was wrong, I posted this instead - it's a parody but brilliant at that:

    Slumdog Millionaire.

    Best film of 2009.

In other news, following up from my internal argument over whether or not to attend the traffic light disco, I went to the pub where it was apparently being hosted to see what time it started and there was absolutely nothing about it. Tbf, I only saw one sign outside in the carpark before but that wasn't there and there was nothing inside either. Guess they must have cancelled it. At least that solves that dilemma.

That's very good indeed. I coughed and spluttered a bit.

Started having the same urge yesterday. Then, I remember that I'd spend six hours doing nothing but picking flowers and leveling up my alchemy and smithing, and the urge recedes. Fear it'll get the better of me soon enough, though.

If the loot system was a bit more rewarding, a la Borderlands, it likely would have overtaken me already...can pretty much be certain that, after a certain point, I'll be using the same Daedric artifacts as ever up until the point where I can smith impossibly powerful gear.

I already have a save with 100 smithing so I don't think I'd bother with it again if I started a new one. I'd like to try and build a proper mage character, because I've tried before but always end up giving in to the awesome weapons and armour. It'd be cool to play through the whole game relying on illusion and conjuration, so I might give that a try. Combined with a good sneak skill, it may be possible to get through the game without going into a single head-on fight!

My character's some sort of mage/ranger dude.

Focusing on one handed, archery, light armour, restoration magic and a bit of destruction magic. Though I think it would fit in with my character better if I replace destruction with illusion or conjuration.

What's that picture below the cat?

That's the same thing I'm considering, actually; my previous characters have all ended up being bow-happy dual-wielders in heavy armour, no matter what my initial intentions might have been.

The picture is from the intro which takes bloody ages.

My current save started out as full-on mage, and I managed to get surprisingly far by just using the fear and fury spells to make people either kill each other or run away. I can't remember what made me abandon that philosophy, but I suspect it was because I found an awesome sword and couldn't help myself. I think it would make sense to start as a race which gets a head start in magic, then just ignore the main quest and head straight to the College of Winterhold.

See, Mr. Duckhuner, I'm not the only one who thinks your attitude to women is stuck in the Jurrasic period!

Ironically I contacted a woman on a dating site a while back who described herself as a feminist and the "You should contact me if" section said "If you're a feminist or a pro-feminist". She never replied in the end but I wonder what she'd have thought if she saw my recent arguments with Duckhunter about women's football lol

I'm all for equality, but feminists tend to annoy me a great deal. Fair enough if you live in Russia, but in this country there is not a gender equality problem. Feminism in this country just amounts to anti-male bullshit.

Now please don't think I'm patronising you Joe but if you had grown up in the 1960's and 70's like I did you would have seen the monumental prejudices women had to overcome to gain any kind of equality with men in all fields of activity. Without feminist champions like Germaine Greer and Erica Jong dinosaurs like Ducky would still be in the majority.

I have no disagreements with that at all. I'm not saying that feminism isn't a valid movement, and it certainly was back then, but I'm yet to meet a reasonable self-proclaimed feminist, which I suspect is because there is little reason to get so militant about it in this day and age, in this country. Nowadays it just seems to be "empowered" women listing the reasons why women are better than men, and failing to see the facepalm-worthy irony in that.
