Yeah I feel sorry for her. Not only was the usual form class of 25 there, there was about 18 from other classes there, plus people huddled at the windows watching in - including the PE staff.

Yes. He then dropped them into her outer blazer pocket as she left the room later on.

I think he's 16 or 17. She's only joined this year and all this. What must she think.

It's odd that when in your teenage years you think you are in love with someone that you've never even talked to. We've all been there, or at least I have. You pluck up the courage to ask them out (because I'm sure they are secretly in love with you too despite the lack of conversation), and then are devastated when they say no,...because it's a massive loss from your life that the person you didn't speak to, still isn't speaking to you. Strange times and I'm very glad my teenage years are behind me.

Big announcement about drug cheating in Australian sport...apparently helped by sports scientists and criminal gangs. That's going to hurt...Aussies love their sport.

That's a bit ambitious surely. There probably aren't 38,000 Reading fans in the entire country!

Something that may convert some of the Euro-sceptics among us (and may also be of interest to Dan if he's taking relevant modules next year): http://falkvinge.net/2013/02/07/cou...tions-for-file-sharing-violates-human-rights/

ECHR finds that convictions for file-sharing violate human rights.

"A court that tries somebody for violating the copyright monopoly must now also show that a conviction is necessary to defend democracy itself in order to convict. This is a considerably higher bar to meet."

What's that picture about? Or did you just make it...

Good to see science mentioned at the top though. I noticed last week that the EU had awarded a billion euros each over 10 years to research into graphene, and the human brain. The head of Human Brain Project said they would "build a CERN for the brain". Had a look on google, the EU's upcoming science and innovation programme has a staggering 80 billion euros of funding up to 2020, 30 billion of it is going into renewable energy, transport, climate change, food, sustainability, etc. What's not to like about that.

Haha it's just something I saw online.

Yeah, there's some really exciting stuff going on. Graphene in particular is going to be so important, and could make solar power far cheaper and more efficient, among countless other potential applications. Science!

Yeah but....immigrants coming over here and stealing our jobs and living in 700 bedroom mansions paid for by the government. It's not like science matters
