Scottish Independence

Seeing the two flags there got me thinking....
If Scotland does become independent, will the UK remove the blue from the Union Flag?

 

Presumably if all home countries get independence, England will revert to it's own red and white flag.

 

It's some-thing I've always thought a bit strange; the Union Flag is made up of a combination of the flags of Saints George, Andrew and Patrick. Poor old St David doesn't get a look in. Perhaps there should be a little dragon in the corner

 

Alex Mcleish has left Nottingham Forest. Nigel Adkins must be red hot favourite to replace him.

 

He should wait a bit and become manager for Portsmouth when the PST take over and Guy Whittingham goes back to a coaching role.

One wonders what the citizens of Anguilla, Australia, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Montserrat, New Zealand, Niue, Pitcairn Islands, Saint Helena (and its dependency Tristan da Cunha), South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands and Tuvalu thinks of all this.

 

The flag of Hawaii still has a Union Flag in the corner..represents part of their history, so no reason for anyone to change their flag if they don't want to. Do those Scots voting for independence intend to replace the Queen as their head of state? This could end up very complicated. I think it's a shame to break up Great Britain, but think that England will come out of it best as we are by far the bigger country.
