Went to Iceland myself the other day, no sign of any of them, some cheap frozen food though.

It's no wonder some people on this board irritate me a lot!

    Wow - afternoon = gone

    Check this out: http://www.typingkaraoke.com/

Just seen it online, and it's quite addictive. Some of the songs are a right bugger to complete though. Give it a go.

I am very sorry if my views, polical or otherwise, wind you and any others up. However it doesnt rub too well with your leftie ideas of equality if you dont think that i can can opinions and views just like you , even if they are not the same as yours. This debate came about because i wrote that i was fed up with the current racist issues in football matches being blown out of proportion mostly by the media in my view - and many others as well.
Generalisations are of course just that and should not be taken too literally, but it is a fact of life that most people use generalisations of some sort. You seem to be getting a bit hysterical about it.
I know loads of left wing thinking people and can debate with them til the cows come home, even if in principle we disagree on things. I have been a union member al my working life, in fact when i started work in the merchant navy you couldnt get a job unless you joined the NUS first. I disagreed with this, especially the political levy you had to pay towards the Labour Party each month !!
In 1979 i voted Tory for the first time as this country was going to the dogs and Thatcher won overwhelmingly as many people thought the same. She sorted out many ills in her early years - however like many other powerful leaders she got too big for her boots and had to go and i voted Labour in 1997 as once again a change was needed. I have never agreed with across the board nanny-state policies. The NHS is a separate issue and great British institution - my mum and two of my sisters + a niece all work in the NHS as nurses. Like a lot of people i pay a lot of tax & NI and gladly contribute to the NHS. However the NHS + all manner of social benefits have been too easily abused and wasteful and too much resources have been spent on illegal immigrants + legal immigrants from the EU. We have been way too soft in this regard imo. You are quite wrong to write that i am ungrateful regarding the NHS - you have no way of knowing enough about me to write this.
Political correctness has not mad in this country and it annoys a large proportion of the community - i bet that if you had a straw poll in the average pub a large % would agree with this.
Regarding teaching in schools - there are lots & lots of parents that sing from the same hymnsheet as me on this subject !

Anyway we are all supposed to be fellow Saints supporters, and so even if we do have differing views on politics and social issues we dont need to fall out. Nobody knows each other properly on an internet forum.

Exactly. We had 3 in jeans/chinos with high tops and bodywarmers with balaclavas. They tried to take all the sweets out of the pot in one go and my Dad lost it at them as he said a few times for them to just take one.

I never said you shouldn't be allowed to express your opinions. My "lefty ideas of equality" dictate that you may express your opinions freely, but I may also call them stupid if I like. And I only made judgments based on things you had said on here. There were no assumptions made about you as a person.

Also the argument that lots of people think the same way as you doesn't make your opinion right. I would say that a majority of the population of this country are pretty clueless when it comes to politics.

My goodness - you think that your ideals hold more sway than those of the majority of the population of this country, who you dismiss as clueless !! I dont belive your arrogance chap. Think i will let you get on with your ideas and i will stick with mine.

Joe, Powell is on now. Had a shot from range within the first 2 minutes of the half, forced Cech to turn it behind for a corner.
