Yep similar system. It's a shame that, as you say, having a belief in a particular political system has been replaced as having belief in a particular party for a lot of people.

On politics, has everyone done the political compass test online? http://www.politicalcompass.org

Last time I did it, I came out very slightly left of centre. Not exactly a surprise.

Next time you shop at Tesco or watch "good old Eddie Stobart" on Tv, read this first to see what sort of society we are living in, which has no left of centre party to stop this sort of thing happening.

It, or similar corporate crimes, will happen to everyone in the not too distant future, Tesco drivers today, who tomorrow?

This came to me from my union the other day.

"Tesco has contracted out its drivers to Eddie Stobart Ltd (ESL) under TUPE. As soon as that happened the drivers immediately lost their Pension Scheme and other benefits not covered by TUPE.

One month after the transfer, ESL announced that it will be making all 150 plus drivers redundant and will use its own network to deliver to Tesco stores. These drivers will be on much lower rates of pay, worse sick pay and worse conditions generally.

This is a model that could be used by any company to get round TUPE and lower costs. There is nothing to stop ESL using its network drivers for a few months and then announcing that it is going back to Tesco dedicated drivers based at the Doncaster Tesco warehouse, but of course on ESL T&Cs."

In a decent fair country, this should be illegal.

Last time I did it, I came out somewhere near Gandhi. Should probably do it again to see if my views have changed.

You should. Their album's on spotify. It's good. They seem like a cross of Sigur Ros and Trespassers William

This forum's going to ****, every thread turns into the same ****ing argument. It's no surprise that decent members are posting less and less, because everyone's realising how much of a waste of time it is on here.

I liked it in League 1, even last year - before the massive bellpiece arrived.

Surely that's a ban-able offence then, even though he's not technically breaking any of the forum rules. If he's single-handedly arseraping this forum then he shouldn't be allowed on here.

Depends if the mods see it that way (if they don't then heaven forbid...)

Joey B was banned, I assume for pissing everyone off (though maybe he did something else) but at least he was rational, he had good opinions but put them across like a dickhead.

I just resurrected one of my favourite threads of all time, just for old time's sake. Those were the days...

Well there's many good parts. Just very odd moderating decisions. Like starting a new thread because it was hard for a moderator to read on their phone...

Meant to comment on this earlier. Sigur Rós is another very good Icelandic band. Not sure if it's your thing, but if not you should make it your thing!

Sigur Ros are amazing, would love to see them live. Jonsi's solo stuff is pretty good too.

Sigur Ros are excellent, they've done some fantastic songs: Vithrar vel til loftorosa, Staraflur, Avalon, Olson Olson, Hoppipola, Glosili, Gong, *something something* Spellum Endasslaust, that other really good song from the album of the same name, not to mention that untitled track from that untitled album where in the video there's some kids playing a post-apocalyptic playground and then one of the kids' gas masks falls off and they die (I want to say Vaka).

They would be pretty awesome to hear live, definitely.

Svefn-g-englar is probably my favourite. Maybe Saeglopur.
