There's always time shifting TV, if you have a PVR. Or just record it and watch the programme later. I think it's good that there are TV companies prepared to ask the viewer to sit down for 90+ minutes to watch a single story. It helps the attention span, and not a single advert getting in there, spoiling the moment, if you're watching it on BBC. It's all positives, as far as I'm concerned.

Oh how I wish there was a proper Sci Fi channel, which rather than showing the same films over and over, gave us a mix of the best of old and new.

The Invaders (A Quinn Martin production) from S1 would be a good start. Doo noo noooo! Doo noo noooo!

The Invaders, alien beings from a dying planet. Their destination: the Earth. Their purpose: to make it their world. David Vincent has seen them. For him, it began one lost night on a lonely country road, looking for a shortcut that he never found. It began with a closed deserted diner, and a man too long without sleep to continue his journey. It began with the landing of a craft from another galaxy. Now David Vincent knows that the Invaders are here, that they have taken human form. Somehow he must convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has already begun.

    Epilog.

Well they can transmit the original series of Star Trek again, and transport me back to the 60's when I used to run home from The Dell, a split second after the final whistle, to watch it.

So anyone looking forward to the final US Presidential debate? This one's on foreign policy so has the biggest impact on us here in Britain.

Haven't watched any of the debates thus far, but I get the jist of it from all the hype on Twitter and Reddit. I doubt these things make much of a difference, and it looks like Obama's got this in the bag.

I dunno, the debates in this country seemed to help Nick Clegg a lot and ended up with Lib Dems in coalition with the Conservatives.

I've never watched a debate before so this should be interesting I imagine, but prior to this I'm definitely in favour of Obama over Romney.

Well despite the outcome, I don't think the Lib Dems actually performed any better than expected. Didn't they even lose a couple of seats? Clegg-mania lasted about a week, but the public showed their true colours by pussying out and voting for one of the big guys in the end.

I think it's mainly because there aren't a lot of undecided voters. The vast majority of people know who they'll be voting for long before the election. There are only about 3 "swing states" which could go either way, and Obama seems to have a healthy lead in all of them right now. He'd have to cock up pretty bad to lose this now.

And yeah, I'm all about Obama, as is everyone else outside of the U.S.

If Mitt Romney wins then I will not be happy either. There is something about him that I really dislike. He seems like such a snake. I don't believe a single word he says.

It's funny, if the election was in the UK or Europe I reckon Obama would come out with about 70-80%. But it's actually just in those few swing states. I still reckon Obama will do it but it's hard to judge the mood from over here. Never underestimate the ability of Americans to do something silly, I suppose.

With the Lib Dems, they pulled in 23% of the vote and converted it into 9% of seats, losing five from the previous election. I thought the debates helped Nick Clegg get some support from people who weren't big fans of either of the other two, but it was not going to catapult them to the top in a few short weeks. I don't have a big problem with the Lib Dems but I wonder how they are going to reinvent themselves for the next election, I am pretty certain it involves Nick stepping aside.

Interesting that Pakistan is the only country which seems to prefer Romney.

The 3rd goal against Villa has been given to Puncheon by the dubious goals committee.

I love that name...it always sounds like the committee is dubious.
