Let me add my thanks to Beddy for all that he has done as moderator on here - it must have been a thankless task at times due to the moronic behaviour of a vocal minority. But as Beddy moves into his twilight years, his is a journey that must be made alone, with just the gratefully thanks of his fellow not606 posters ringing in his ears. Put on your tartan zip up slippers, pull on that cardie, get your gums round a Werthers original, and tune in to radio Solent, and enjoy your well earned retirement Beddy. A true gent!
Beddy, you old sod. You are one of the few people on here who must be similar vintage to me, and you're quittting in your prime! I greatly appreciate how in this cold medium of a forum you are able to convey such personal warmth. Enjoy your retirement, and I wish the newbies luck.
Beddy Appreciate your endeavours. I think that it is good that there is order and control with this website. It's necessary for healthy debate and, as suggested, the efforts to maintain this messageboard in a dignified and mature fashion has been appreciated. Cheers Ian
Beddy - you have been a member of this page for a very long time. You were a good moderator and did what you thought was right. Always handled things well when I've spoken to you. So thanks for your efforts. Oh and also, Qwerty and TSS are two great choices.

Guys and Gals yes at times it has been difficult........but I had the backing of the vast majority on here I felt which gave me enormous comfort. If I had to ban anyone at any time...it was always to protect the site and rarely for more than a couple of days. The vast majority acknowledged the behind the scenes approach as being the way to go.....(not forgetting the odd red letter approach on a post when it was turning into a bun fight) Mr Nice........ Dan.....for some reason you seem to think you were some kind of hard nut and somehow different to the rest......As you found out eventually, we didn't treat you or think of you any differently. We don't hold grudges, we just do what we believe is is the interests of the majority. We have have never said that people didn't have a right to disagree.....just the way they do it some times which causes the problem. Finally folks if you think we have made a error send us Pm's and give good reasons to revert back. You just thinking its not right is not a persuasive argument. Lastly, just remember we too have people we have to answer too, we get some instructions from Admin........which we have no choice but to carry out.......Cheers....BT
Actually have been that all the way through pretty much Fran. As an article editor I mean.... Just haven't broadcasted the fact too much. When a piece got promoted you were advised by pm ...so informed then so to speak.
