    All soda drinks are evil.

Drink water from a tap.. its as healthy as bottled water and does not contain the toxins from plastic bottles, I have not drank any carbonated soft drinks for years.

I am not an over the top health freak but that stuff is vile! I stopped drinking it overnight as I was suffering horrendous indigestion (which stopped immediately!) and I was only drinking maybe a can or two a day..

David Beckham is one of very very few English players with the balls to put his reputation on the line and play outside of England. That alone commands my respect. If I were England manager he'd still be in my team.

The fact that he is a legend at Man Utd, Real Madrid AND LA Galaxy just proves how good he has been for them. Hell, in his PSG debut he was great and set up a beauty for Ibrahimovic. If they win the title I'm sure he'll be welcome in Paris all the time.

The fact that he is a legend at Man Utd, Real Madrid AND LA Galaxy' - it's a FACT ????

SAF got rid, Madrid (and Becks) made a fortune on shirt sales and the Yanks haven't a clue.

    Fact.

Fact: Fergie and Beckham are on very good terms, and the Man Utd fans absolutely love him. His reception after his match for AC Milan says it all. He was booted out, but that doesn't take away the years of great football he provided for United.

Fact: Some of Real Madrid's best goals came from Beckham, and even though he was dropped by Capello he was professional throughout and after getting back into the side he helped Madrid onto the La Liga trophy. He's considered amongst Ronaldo and Zidane as one of the best of the first galactico period.

Fact: You'd have to be an idiot to not think that Beckham has helped the profile of "soccer" in America. MLS has grown considerably since Beckham joined and the league now boasts a number of good players. Some of their teams have attendances that rival some Premier League teams. Not only did he captain the side for a brief period, he also put in stellar performances to win the two trophies on the trot and took them to a continental trophy final.

So yes, it's a FACT that he's considered a legend at all three teams. He'll go down in the history of all three teams as a great player.

What I particularly like about Becks is that he takes his knocks on the chin and gets up and tries again.
The bloke has the best attitude - better than mine.
I would have told the press and the pundits and mcclown many times what I thought of them but Becks just puts his head down and tries harder.
He is one rare boy that hasn't let the fame and fortune go to his head.

On food - a nice madras and saag paneer after a couple of premium lagers is the best diet you can get!

    'he's considered a legend'

I have a different view of the word Legend.

Charlton's a legend, as is Giggs and Hunter for us.

Beckham doesn't compare unless you're measuring 'off the field' activities as opposed to footballing ability.

    Now you're talking!

I still reckon they put something in that to make it addictive though because I most certainly am..

I drink a can of Pepsi a day, why because I hate water with a passion and I would drink lager instead if I don't. Still got one or two of my own teeth <ok>

I drink lots of Pepsi Max mainly because when I'm at my girlfriends the water is so hard it leaves me totally constipated.

I know what you are saying RP but I would even challenge your legends.
Pele and Best were mine, with current legends in the making Messi and C. Ronaldo - and possibly Bale if he keeps it going for another 4 seasons.

'Pele and Best were mine' - And mine but I was trying to keep it 'local' to Man Utd and us.

Madrid fans would laugh there socks off about the 'legend' Becks - try talking about De Stefano - a REAL Madrid legend.

And Puskas, Emilio Butragueño, Santamaria, Gento and Raul. So many giants of Madrid in front of Beckham that there isn't enough space here to name them..

    .

The very fact that he was kept in the England team under his mate Sven meant that he undeservedly got a good 30 caps more than he ever merited due to a 5 minute cameo here and there to appease the 14 year olds at Wembley.

If greed, PR, money and self importance make him a legend in your eyes then so be it, but he doesn't impress me.

You're also easily fooled if you believe he was concerned about his reputation playing abroad. It was all about money and PR as usual and the same went for his loans to Milan, even the American's saw him for what he really is.

The season that Real finally won the league and which was during their worst ever run without silverware, was when Beckham was there.

Oh Yeh, let's put it down to jealousy.

And by the way - Botham wouldn't live with Sobers.

'Sobers didn't magically fill Test Match grounds' - A ridiculous comment, are you mad ?

'Its all about charisma' - I rest my case.

Take thirty of those caps away and he still won a ton of caps for his country. Yes, he didn't deserve some of those appearances, but he's the only player in recent England history who can put a ball whenever he wants from that range. There's not a single English player on the planet other than him with that ability.

Or, you know, playing for the biggest club in English football, one of the two greatest clubs in Spanish football, arguably the biggest side in MLS and now playing for one of the biggest clubs in French history. Also, let's count the loan to one of the biggest clubs in Italian history...

The money is irrelevant. He's played at some of the best clubs and has been loved by all their fans. You can't do that if you're a poor player.

It's far more likely that you're projecting your own personal feelings of what a footballer should be onto what Beckham has achieved in his career. He's accomplished so much, yet you dislike him because he's made a ton of money from doing it.

Along with Zidane, Ronaldo and co. Does that also make them terrible players?
