The main problem with selling to a CCC (above the fact that he will no doubt become a 20+/season striker) is finding any club who could cough up to his wage demands. He is on a big wage here. So if its about the money then i cant see him moving to another CCC club.

In my opinion he is a great player and if he was prepared to follow SSL and knuckle down then i have no doubt that he could become a great player next season.

he might not win the header, but is lost likely to react to a rebound.

I dont like him- my posts on here in recent weeks show that. If pearson cant make him work, then who can!? Im happy for him to go anywhere, maybe QPR. Just bring us in a replacement.

Dare i saw it, and this sounds ridiculous with that amount of goals, but im not a massive nugent fan. I think he is difficult to have as a strike partner and rarely tries to play beckford in when he could, as i believe he cant stand not being the main man.

Surely that's the moment of the most intense pressure you can get?!

Anyway, when's DREARson (see what I did there?) going to stop provoking players into feuding with him? Do you lot really think that's sensible management? What's the standing count now - something like six or seven players he's had petty bust-ups with?

Nugent doesnt have an ego and he works hard for the team. I think it all depends on how Martyn Waghorn comes back in. Weather we get the one we had on loan or the one we paid 2M for.

If we get the loan one he is going to be some player for us

He is one of the few people to have survived Hull.

I'm not sure Pearson's done anything unruly though. Pearson is very big on having things like 'squad ethic' and 'team ethos' and also demands a certain level of work rate from his team. Nothing wrong there. If this causes players to be unhappy then I don't want them here.

He is trying to develop a team spirit here and that is the one thing we need to do in order to progress. Arguably, we haven't had it since the last time he was here and he does create it. His man-management skills are also good - but it's a two way street with him. If you're prepared to work with him, he'll get the best out of you. Just look at the likes of Fryatt, Hobbs, Dyer, Weale, Waghorn who did well when he was here then struggled under subsequent managers.

Matt Mills had a strop because he was on the bench for one game. If that is his attitude, then he can leave. Sean St Ledger too threw a mardy because he was dropped for a game. But he and Nigel have now made it up and he's playing well. Beckford was because he refused to go up for a free-kick in the last minute of a game that we were losing 1-0. I would say that these lie more at the door of the players rather than being NP's fault.

I'd be surprised. They've got Zamora and Cisse on contracts that makes Bullard's with us look sensible so they'll struggle to offload them. Then there's Bothroyd who was signed last summer with all the hype of being one of the best strikers in the Championship and he was on a free so his wages won't be cheap. Helguson is their top scorer and has at least a year on his deal so they're not likely to be offloading him. I suppose Campbell might leave but they'd still have 4 very good/highly paid strikers so I can't see Beckford being high on their list even if he is a QPR fan.

Hmm, I can see a reoccuring theme here. Yet another player falls out with Pearson.....

Is that strong leadership or the inability to manage players that don't say 'how high?' when Nige says 'jump!' The Souness school of management? - very 1980's

I guess we will find out next season one way or another!

Hope he stays and gets his act together. If he goes, he could do worse than go up to Sunderland, remember the raised eyebrows when Martin brought in Stanley Collymore who it seemed would never turn out in the Premiership again.

Its called management, if theres a problem, he won't avoid it, he will sort it out.

Only had 3 "bust-ups" sofar, SSL (SSL had a mardy at not being picked), Mills (Mills (aparently) had a mardy about being dropped) and this Beckford thing, which looks like its been taken way out of context according to Becks http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7651413/Beckford-rejects-row-rumours.

I'd be happy if he stayed tbh, he could do well here next season.

On another point, how long is it going to be before Bates and Warnock have a bust-up?

I think you're missing the point - he can shoot first time when in front of goal, he doesn't necessarily have to control it - and I've given him credit on that score - but he isn't Beckham or Nayim, so shooting from the half-way line isn't really an option. He does try and flick-it first time, usually after he has failed to control previous passes - and that normally means that the ball goes to an opposition player because his flicks aren't that brilliant ...

We should be looking to get rid of the perineal underachievers - dyer,Gallagher to name 2 but obviously np wont get rid of his 'old guard' which will eventually cost him his job - I'm not a Nigel hater either just a fan who goes to home and away matches telling my opinion and not listening to stringer and young who seem to have an agenda with certain players...........

Dyer and Gally wont go, even if they are replaced in the first 11 (which i hope happens if im honest) they will still be squad players.

Yeah, I don't think Dyer or Gally are bad squad players to have at all. Especially Lloyd coming of the bench against tired legs could be dangerous.

Only if Leicester were paying his wages, because Bates isn't likely to go anywhere near his current level.
