Paynter is crap, but McCormack is a good player. His movement and technical ability was really impressive in the last 2 games of the season. Look at the Burnley game, he was moving into the wing and put in a couple of great crosses than Paytner should have converted.
Paynter is a League 1 striker. When he gets an extended run in a team he scores at around 1 in 3 games. At League 1 level. How many do you think he'll score in the Championship of he gets a good run? He's a good lower league striker but is way out of his depth now. The one goal from 22 appearances for Leeds may be skewed because it was fragmented appearances, but he clearly is not a Championship quality striker.
somma out for 5-6 months paynter is good when he has a complimentary striker up with him (ie austin, ross Mc) but up on his own poses zero threat, excluding the preston game
