Andy's jewels...Leeds isn't the third biggest city in the UK....Its way down the list, behind the likes of Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Newcastle/Gateshead and maybe Bristol...Your not having a good day today....Just thought I'd point that out like.....
It's the third biggest metropolitan area, but that's not the same thing. To be fair Andy does now think he's dyslexic, so...
Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, or winding up some highly excitable Lestah fannies. No contest. SVEN OUT!!
Leeds is the third biggest city in the UK. http://www.ukcities.co.uk/populations/ And Erik's right; 1,250 is a shocking away crowd for a weekend journey 35 miles down the road which is also one of the most appealing away days in the division. Hull will probably take more than that. No.
We will, we had 1572 at Brighton last night, I know it's only 240 miles away and the kick off was only changed from the afternoon to the night two weeks ago, but I thought it was still decent.
According to Wikipedia.. By population: 1st London obviously (2) Birmingham (3) Glasgow (4) Liverpool (5) Leeds (6) Manchester (does not include Salford) Therefore Metro Manchester is much more than Leeds (7) Sheff (8) Edinburgh (9) Bristol (10) Cardiff (11) Leicester (12) Coventry (13) Hull (not including large parts of West Hull which are in East Riding) Other websites have Leeds less than Sheffield, then others have Leeds in 3rd... Depends on which web site you look at. I dare say if I tried hard enough I could find sites that have Leeds less than Manchester. But to be honest I can't be arsed. Happy now?
Sorry DB but I trust a website which is dedicated to UK Cities and has a page explaining its methodology more than bloody Wikipedia.
I don't see how its shocking for a Sunday lunch time game, that is on freeview television and that neither set of fans care about. Surely the fact that Birmingham had an attendance of 17k is worse?
So your fans don't care about your team any more? And yeah, Brum had a **** crowd, but they don't have any fans on here so I can't talk to any of them. It was on a Sunday - so what? People are free on a Sunday. Are you genuinely saying your fans can't be arsed to go and watch you just because it's on a sunday and it's a lunchtime kickoff? They'd rather watch it on the telly than make a half-hour/40 minute journey and go support their team at a nice stadium which charges incredibly cheap prices by Championship standards? If so, I don't think they're very committed, frankly. Maybe your fans were all too busy praying.
You have researched ticket prices?!! You really are a sad act. Football fans like to stay in on a Sunday with work the next day, put their feet up and watch it on the Tele. 1500 fans is hardly a bad turnout either, not for a City of Leicester's size and our moderate fan base. Not every team lives in a City with nearly 1 million people
