Very strange, yesterday Lambert was the messiah and today he is replaceable! not many 'In Lambert We Trust' signitures today is there!
Yeah but you're still Norwich and you've still won **** all. Maybe apart from the hearts of some city dwelling football types that take pity in your archaic stupid country ways and are amused by your funny way of talking and the fact you still ride round on pony and traps plus all your women are ugly and your old soak of a chef amuses the masses through her inane drunken antics that make everyone cringe but you still love the old piss stained gin addled old boot and your kit is ****ing disgusting and should be thrown to the bottom of the swamp that you call home. I'm off to find that 606 clip of that wrong 'un Norwich fans rant ROIGHT?!!!
and we all would want unhappy players at the club don't we, its like a domino effect, as soon as one person goes, the next will follow then the next one will want a bigger bit of the pie and they go, so on and so on.
well duh would you say sir alex ferguson is irreplaceable? i bet they'd still hire the next best man for the job, which is what we'll try and do. why is this such a hard concept for you to grasp?
I don't think he is replaceable. But if we can find a manager of even half his ability then we should stay up!
If the budgies want another rude, incoherent little jock then surely King Kenny is a natural replacement. The lovable Craig Bellamy would follow him from Liverpool. Also, when Holt goes to Villa they have a ready made straight swap in Heskey. Job done.
No we're Norwich City and we still miles better than you with or without Lambert. Your CEO Clegg makes all of us laugh with his sober antics, your pitch is **** and doesn't have undersoil heating and your academy is **** too because your owner doesn't want to invest in it. Now I'm off to find that clip of that Ipswich fan saying we're going to hell NAARRWWICH SSEETTY ARE GOING TO HELL!!!
I see they let you use the internet from your young offenders institute.. And they reckon its tough inside!
Not sure who that comment is aimed at, but surely you're not suggesting that I have a criminal record?
It will be interesting to see what happens with both Lambert and Norwich from now on. It will certainly be easier to appoint a decent manager in their current position than when Lambert took over but their next choice has to be spot on. The famous 'second season' syndrome and a new manager could potentially be a pit fall I actually think Norwich may come out of better than Lambert. The Norwich success was built partially around giving relative nobodies a chance to step up. Not one of their players could actually be seen as an individual stand out but they have all gelled well and taken the opportunity to play on a larger stage with open arms. It really seems like a squad built around togetherness. Im not sure how that approach will be welcomed at a bigger club (in terms of expectations and available finances & not currently on the pitch before some Norwich fan takes offence) when they can blow 15m on a player and the fans expect a top 8 finish. It would be interesting to see how their fans will react if the sign another 'Howson' type player.
I think it would be a bad move for both parties, but I agree I think we would be better of (relatively speaking) than Lambert.
From saying that 'Villa would be a side step at best' and 'why would Lambert leave us, he has good support at Norwich' and 'he's building something special here' to saying that it was inevitable he would leave one day and that he is easily replaceable all in one day, amazing.
I think everyone is forgetting what has really happened here. Norwich were in huge financial trouble and in League One. The hapless board took a gamble on Paul Lambert because he thrashed their side and it paid off more than anyone would have imagined. The club are now financially secure but the business plan was always to spend two years in the Premier League out of 7. They've now done that and the board has chosen not to roll the dice with the finances to take the club forward. Paul Lambert has more ambition and wants to manage at a club where he can challenge for a European berth and take a final step toward an elite club. Lambert takes a step forward and Norwich take a step back.
Ah yes and we can all remember when you tried to take a step forward in your 2nd season by signing a crock of overpaid **** players ended up relegated and with so much debt you went into administration. Leave off Lancs, you dont half spout some ****e man.
Given time people usually revert to type and this is exactly whats happened here, remember how he dropped Colchester like a hot brick once more money was being dangled in front of him? Now the same thing has happened again with Villa so its hardly surprising is it. Perhaps this explains why Holt wants away ASAP, it doesnt seem so long ago they were both swearing allegiance to the Budgies but money shows that to be exactly the b*ll*x that it was. He used CUFC as a stepping stone and now hes doing the same thing to NCFC, Mercenary and money grabbing? certainly, surprising? not at all.
I would be very concerned if I was a Norwich fan. We all know what Lambert did for your club, did a great job, and had faith and a great affinity with many players. To many players, who have over achieved dramatically over a 24 period of time, this news will not be welcome. Whoever comes in ( IF HE GOES ) has a very hard job to do. It's also second season, which is often a very tricky season. I cannot see Norwich doing as well this time around. That's not to say I feel your doomed, I just believe you performed miracles this season.
