Bookies have given up being that their odds have a used-by date. Maybe our owners are looking to have a gap year between managers.
Sounds to me as though the bookies know as much ie sweet FA as we do. 4 odds on names who have all drifted out of favourite to land this dream job. I thought our preferred choice was a young foreign manager with a lot of nous but who nobody knows about. I doubt that the Board are as clueless as some suggest but are keeping their cards close to their chest. I seem to recall that we patted them on the back for their transfer dealings in the last couple of years which were also completed done deals before the Press and fans were told.
I make you right. As I recall the media and fans knew nothing about Warburton incoming either, until just before he was announced. Best that way too imo.
No idea why folk put so much stock in what the bookies say, they've no more knowledge than we do. This is a ridiculous position to be in though, nearly 4 weeks in and no signs of a new manager yet and with a truncated break between seasons as well. Getting rid of Warbs looking ever more stupid by the day.
Jumped ship or pushed out ? Either way its a departure when we should be bringing in a manager and players !
Well that’s two things out from the club today so looks like things are moving after hearing nothing for about 3weeks, tomorrow/Wednesday manager in???
I’m getting to the point where I’m not that bothered. If we play without a manager we might find out exactly what they are meant to do. Mind you, unless we start appointing people and signing and selling players this board will die.
Maybe the club could run a "fan of the week" competition, and the winner gets to use the club tombola left over from Kneecaps days to pick a random selection of the few players that we still have on the books to play.
Unfortunately that tombola self imploded after being overused by Warburton. The club are now setting up a gofund me page to buy a new one for the incoming manager !
Robinson is definitely not the man to take us to the next level, would be a complete kop out in my eyes and someone Les and Co can manipulate and give a totally inadequate amount of money to build a squad capable of getting promoted. If he gets the job it will tell us exactly how serious our owners are about getting us into the Premier League and also who is really pulling the strings behind the scenes.
