Who was the last manager we had that no one had really heard of, and was it successful, or have we never taken a massive punt?
When we have done ex Rangers managers,Coaches and players to the max, will we then move on to Queens Park?
Eustace is exactly the same punt as Beale. Hugely respected coach who could take the jump to manager. I suppose he is a bit too Warburton tarnished though. Got to say...directly I saw ( well looked up ) Beales credentials. I would jump at him..
I dont knock Beales credentials. I have come across 100's of coaches throughout my career who have coached children, become youth development officers etc etc who are fantastic. Im just starting to get the impression that our board want a 'yes' man. Someone who can be manipulated to an extent. Someone naive enough to do as they are told and not what they may necessarily believe is right. Time will tell.

Honestly, i dont want to disregard Beale and would fully support him or any other who eventually gets appointed but as impressive as those videos come across and as impressive in his talk, ive seen similar a thousand times, on and off the coaching pitch. Idealogy is the easiest thing to talk about, especially in football. Unfortunately, its not often found as a whole in a club. I firmly believe that, lets say, Eustace for example, could produce just as much an entertaining video of his ideas, philosophy, visions etc which would get us all biting at the bit to give him the job. Even Warbles talked a good game. However, saying that, someone has to be given an opportunity and sooner rather than later as many clubs are already snapping up free agents, making bids and getting organised. Maybe back to basics is just what we need right now, Beale sounds like quite a basic coach. Whether the club shares a similar vision is up for debate. This is just as much an interview for the club as it is vice versa. How are we selling it to potential managers? Small ground, low budget, selling club but we want promotion?? Beale addresses similar scenarios and expectations in his videos so his and any potential managers philosophy and vision is determined by the owners and the likes of Les.
Agree with all of that. Owners, DoF, players and fans are all on the same side (cohesive) until things start going adrift. It only takes a small piece of sand to break the machine. Whoever comes in will surely be clear what challenges they face - our history is all out there to see. We need to be clear what we want; who we think can deliver and get them in place. There’s lot to do and it needs to get started soon.
I was going to post this bloke is eloquent about football, but then you and others on here are probably equally eloquent. Obviously that's necessary to be a good coach, but I would think it takes a lot more than that to be a good Head Coach at QPR Whether he has that or not I've got no idea.
That last sentence sums it up Os. Unless given an opportunity, how do these guys make a reputation or progress up the ladder. Someone, somewhere has to give them a sniff. Take Klopp, Guardiola and co, how good would they be at QPR on a limited budget?
