Beadling

I really hope he proves me wrong, he won't tho, other than a few on here he's lost the will of the people in the town, they never come back from that.

Tees, I like the bloke, just don't think he has improved us and fail to understand this misplaced ' no one could have done better crap' gone backwards if anything. I look at his record at Fulham and Coventry and see he failed. His narrow minded 'my system works approach.' It did with Bale up top., not with us. You pick a system which suits the players at hand. McMannaman, McGeady in a 442 . Maja and Asoro up top. This league is shi t, go down fighting.

I agree mate. Not many people see the obvious like me and you.

I think the point may be that's its no longer about the manager mate.

I'm just guessing though.

The fact is we're going down to Div 1. That being the case, it doesn't matter who's taking us down, there's an inevitability about it.

What's more important is who is likely to come in and buy the club, because if that does happen, it doesn't ****ing matter who manages the club now, it'll be who the new owners want.

We have a squad who isn't fighting to the death to avoid relegation. I can only assume that any new owner is factoring in relegation into the offer, which to be fair, isn't an unreasonable position to take.

I can see us needing 3 to 4 years to get back to the Championship.

And honestly, life's to ****ing short to be losing sleep about SAFC at the minute!

It's a matter of opinion but from what I've seen we've comfortably got the worst squad in the league and it's not even close. There's only so much a manager can do with that.

He brought 6 of them in, what a manager should do is sign players who improve the team, if he signs players who don't he deserves to be questioned.... don't you think ?
And whats he done to improve us ...his job is to do that..?

Yeah he does deserve to be questioned, the further we go the more issues I have with what he's doing. However he could only bring in what he could, I'm sure he'd like to have brought in better players but it didn't happen and I don't blame him for that. It's not his fault Walters got injured or Martin didn't fancy us.

Managing the worst team in the league with the smallest budget is a thankless task.

Walters and Martin ? God help us, we'd be no better off with either. Don't bring in cack for the sake of it and people wouldn't question you. 2 good ones are better than 6 cack ones.

I think they'd have been alright actually. Point is though that when you've got no money and you're down to your third or fourth choice striker it's harsh to blame the manager for that. Blame the owner for not realising the necessity to spend.

As for the quantity over quality point, our squad was paper thin and we desperately needed bodies in. What quality would we have got for a budget of 1 mil anyway.

We've never had 1st bite of the cherry up here, its always been 6/7th choice and the owner has spent, on s hite albeit. Gyan, Bent were all next level. Those days are gone now with our financial woes. None of Colemans signings are alright tho, they're all s hite , even with his budget, he signed them, look at Wigan give City a game, they have no budget, Does it not worry you ?

Really? Cardiff have Gregg Halford as a key playeŕ ffs. Millwall have Steve Morrison whos about 38 etc. Coleman took the job ages ago who else is at fault?

Halford and Morrison are probably better players than you're giving them credit for. Both of those sides are significantly better than us.

I think people who blame Coleman for everything and wish for a better manager are living in dreamland. I repeat there's only so much a manager with no budget in charge of the worst team in the league can do. The reason we're in this position is because of Short, get mad at him instead.

Who do you think sent Beadling out ? The Tea lady ? All this financial constraint rhufbarb excusing Coleman doesn't wash, all managers where we are have constraints on who they can sign, it goes with the job. He signed rubbish.
Your Cattermole Love In seems to have transferred to Coleman these days. <doh>
So... I’ll ask again as you say that he signed rubbish... who was available, better, and willing to come here?????

You have yet to answer that despite being asked numerous times. Your answer every time is “he should’ve found better” WHO?

If you can list me available and willing players (GK, CD, CF) as per the positions signed it’d be good to see. I don’t have a Coleman love in, I just don’t blame him for where we are. You blatantly dislike him and have vented this on numerous threads using the same drivel about his poor signings, but not being able to list anyone better than we signed. Until you can, I have no reason to credit any of your opinions.

Oh you won't credit them, Mr Football <wah>
I think he's poor, as do many others, you don't, as do many others. The league table proves you right eh ?

But you're arguing yourself round in circles here. Yes, we get 6th or 7th bite of the cherry because players don't want to come and yes, it's even worse because we've got no money. You can add the atmosphere of despondency round the place to that too. That's what everyone is telling you- that's why we're ****. Not because Chris Coleman deliberately signed crap players- they are all he could realistically get. Only Ellis Short is in a position to create the conditions for the manager to bring in better players and he doesn't want to create those conditions. Chris Coleman is just the fall guy, taking the flak while Ellis sits at home in Missouri counting his money.

No his player judgement is questionable. Your's is as bad mind. His tactics are poor. His results are un acceptable regardless. You rate him, its your choice.

4-4-2 would work but it hinges on having a solid pairing in centre mid and centre back where unfortunately our biggest two liabilities play week in week out Mr Cattermole and Mr Oshea.

Oh so you have them and you know players who were available that we didn’t sign? Christ you’re full of it. You’ve been asked that question on multiple threads and still not provided an answer other than “Coleman should know better players”

You seem to know all about the restrictions that he’s working under, how much money he had available and which players were available at the price and willing to come, but you won’t share them? You sound like a Big Chris from the old 606 and he was full of **** too
