Paying £40 a month for the occasional ten minute freeview? How hairy are your palms?
By the way, might I recommend Ben Dover's classic 'Fancy an Indian?'
It changed my life, it really did
Did you watch it with your Nan?

If we’re being serious for a minute, it has made me question more of what we see. Of course i understand selective editing but i didn’t think it would be something that would apply to a tv quiz show. Why would they do that? But then it becomes pretty obvious, if they’d shown the other parts there would have been zero social engagement, nobody is talking about the programme and then they might not tune in next time to get angry at the latest ****.
I was even warned in an email specifically not to look at social media while it was airing, so they 100% knew it was coming. I’ll defo be more aware of this watching tv in the future.
It was interesting watching the twitter chatter before i went up, everyone knew i would go low when we had 3 home and so much in the bank. I assume therefore this must happen a lot (i don’t watch it).
I swear on my mother’s life i had never seen it until i got my live audition. It was actually my mum who text me one day to say ‘The chase are looking for contestants, you should apply’. She’d seen it in a magazine and sent me a link.
Even in my phone auditions i didn’t know how the game itself worked, but they were just general knowedge questions and personality interviews.
Then when i got my live audition and i was told we would be playing The Chase i watched a few episides to see how it worked. Then when i got through and was told i was filming i watched some more to suss out the strengths / weaknesses of the Chasers.
I’ve probably seen a dozen episodes tops in my life, including the one i was on.
So your Mum told you to audition for the Chase but you didn't know you would be playing the chase until you got to your live audition? How's that work.
As someone who supposedly works in PR/marketing how the **** has this never ocurred to you before about live television?
I didnt know the live audition was going to be a game of The Chase. It couldve been anything - an interview on camera, a general knowledge test etc - but we literally played The Chase.

I don’t work in Marketing. I have never said that i do.
I never said it hadn’t occurred to me about live tv. If you want to show me where i said that I’d be pleased to read it. You really do have a problem with details...
Also, I’d be interested in how ‘selective editing’ occurs in live tv...

So you don't work in PR?
You seemed pretty surprised they would try to paint someone as the bad guy.
Because it's filmed in front of a live audience. I'm talking reality tv/game shows that aren't scripted.
Yes i do work in PR. I don’t work in Marketing.
There is no audience.
Marketing and PR are the same bullshit. You all just add fluff to a business that adds no real value.
As I said, never watched the show before, but you're being a complete pedant now. Game shows/reality tv/ whatever you want to call it, filmed off the cuff with no script and supposedly "reality". It's all bullshit. The fact you didn't think they might paint you as an idiot makes you pretty naive.
I don’t think they did paint me as an idiot, I got a lot of questions right and without me they would have gone home with nothing.

Speculation. They could have got more right without you and your football answer.
All a bit of fun though. Start with nothing, leave with nothing.
