I think Chelsea's squad is up there with United's but as a team, I don't think you've really got going yet. It doesn't help that you've got a new manager who still appears to be figuring out his best 11. The pundits were more than happy to get carried away with the Liverpool hype, I mean who wouldn't swoon at signings like Adam and Henderson? We got underrated too, with Shearer the only one to even mention us but hey, I think that's for the best.
All the teams that were written off by pundits alike i.e Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs, Villa are exceeding expectations thus far and all the teams that were hyped up i.e Liverpool, QPR, Sunderland, WBA are flopping miserably so far. The only surprise has been Swansea's brilliant defensive record at home and the fact Arsenal are as low as they are.
What is this? A game of We're considerably richer than yow? You aren't football clubs any more. You're just baubles for billionaires to brag about.
Its fair to say that as a member of the Special Ones team,ABV will arleady be familiar with most of the squad. Plus he'll know a lot of the summer intake. I really think he's spending a lot of time adapting our style of play, which seems to be bedding in with each game we play.Come November I reckon we'll be dazzling pundits and spectators alike. For all that I reckon it will become a death struggle with Man City for the title. They seem to have come flying out of the traps and haven't been troubled by anyone so far!
I don't think you can rule United out. To be honest, I think we might see you, City and United drop a few more points in the coming weeks, none of you can really afford to be dropping anymore points in the CL so I can't see players being rested or totally different teams being fielded, like United did against Benfica. City are the best equipped squad wise but there's no certainty of being in the team again after scoring 4 goals and we might find some players take exception to the sporadic squad rotation.
There is no way City will win the league under Mancini. If United don't win it, we will, simple as Having said that I can't see beyond United for the title, once they get their defence sorted they'll be as good as if not better than they were at the business end of last season, having said that Rooney seems to be going off the rails again and none of their other CF's look capable of scoring a goal between them bar injury-prone Welbeck. IMO they don't have the vast array of striking options that we and City do so it will be interesting to see what happens when injuries are picked up.
Liverpool....... LIVERPOOL?!?!! Hahahahahhahahah.... etc No seriously, that is genuinely hilarious. They would do well to get Europa league. Arsenal as well. Tottenham, Man U, Chelsea, City from 4th to 1st that order.
