could the BBC make it any more obvious how low racing is on their list of priorities.

apparently this afternoon coverage of Oaks day will now be shared with the French Open tennis. whilst I appreciate this is a big match (Murray v Nadal) this will also be available live on the red button so why does it also need to be on BBC2?

What is wrong with putting the match on BBC1 or having the tennis on BBC2 and the racing on the red button? typically stupid decision that you would expect from them these days following on from the closure of 606 the other day.

If the tennis is reaching its conclusion then expect the Oaks to be shown in a recorded format.
 
I suppose on a positive note any races they do show this afternoon may well get record viewing figures for flat racing.
 
The other night on 5 Live, they had a Derby preview (it was a joke), which was presented by some idiot who admitted that he didn't like racing ("it leaves me cold"). It could only happen at the BBC
 
Those of us that are not at home are hoping that the Oaks and the Coronation Cup are shown live online while the Scottish Brat is being destroyed by Rafa Nadal. Happy birthday Rafa!

Racing is a minority sport and of course tennis is second only to football in terms of popularity so it must be a priority on a Friday afternoon. If that Serbian Viktor Troicki had not blown a big fifth set lead in the fourth round, the French Open would not be getting a mention until the finals.

I bet Murray’s ankle injury resurfaces if an excuse is needed. The BBC always like to show the Brits losing live. Nadal has only won the tournament five times to his opponent’s none.

If Murray has not been annihilated by the time Countdown starts the BBC is going to get lots of complaints.
 
Ye I can't stand that prat Andy Murray, and I also can't stand tennis it's a womans game. So the fact the BBC would rather show that nonsense than the racibg baffles me, I can understand Wimbledon as it's in London, but French tennis, are they for real!

I have RUK and ATR so I'm not to fussed, but it is harsh on those who don't. What's going to happen is the tennis will be on and when the Oaks starts it will be shown split screen with the commentary still on the tennis, the Coronation Cup will be lucky to get a recorded replay :biggrin:
