I don't like Swanny but he was right on this one. At least 3 times on Saturday Rosie got to the byline and had to cut back on all occasions and failed to get the cross in. You just can't do that wingback s need to be able to cross its like having a striker who can't shoot.
Deano had a bit of trouble with our new German striker's name, but he had some good advice. He said; "Don't be a nut Pozi drive the ball home. You can't wait for a self-tapper or for someone to thread it through to you, or you might end up behind a counter sunk under a pile of fixings."
I often used to listen to the oppositions radio link on tiger player. Compared to some Swanny is a breath of fresh ****e.
this is the peter swan who thinks the only team in the division that might be better than us is cardiff. how negative can you get?
He's also working for Sky's radio channel, which I'd never heard of until someone told me Deano was working for them. I'm sure you know this already but he's also a total waster off mic. He's never out of a bar, casino or whatever and some of the things he says are shocking. If he didn't have the job he did you'd just ignored everything he said about football if you met him in a pub or something. He doesn't do it as often as Andy Saville or Stan McKewan!
Yeah I know, I see them every home game. My thought was they'd quit their low key match day job for something 'better'.
I will count myself lucky tonight then not having to endure swanny as am at work and only have FM and DAB available.Which dougnut made the descision to stick city on AM?..sounds like theres about 50 people cheering Scunthorpe and even less at Grimsby..prob more in my posistion wanting to hear city than put together listening on FM n DAB to those 2 giant clubs.
It really feels like we're intruding on Radio Scunthorpe tonight doesn't it? How long was the Brian Laws interview?
ffs not the swanny topic again.
If your going to defend the ****,i'm going to make my 12'' copy of Killing Jokes ''CHANGE'' into a ****ing ash tray. Your call !
I like Justin Whittle but I don't think the banter between him and Burnsie would be as good as with Swanny. Like someone else said, its not too serious and I like the fact that they seem to have a laugh and a joke. I was listening to Burns daytime radio show a few weeks ago, something about dog training and Swanny rang up and told a very funny tale about his dog, they were both hysterical with laugher. On a negative point, I follow Swanny on Twitter and as a person sometimes I am not that keen on him if you see what I mean.
I've said it before, and I'll just add it again now. That would be fine if they were commentating for a TV channel so people could see the game going on. When they're on the radio they should spend less time on the banter and more on commenting on what's on the pitch.
