I've also seen Diaby playing poorly and limping off in the first half. Playing him is a risk as you never know what you're going to get. If he isn't fully fit then why would you want to play him over a fully fit player in Rosicky? Diaby is inconsistent to pin your hopes on him. In my opinion Arteta, Rosicky and Cazorla will be able to keep the ball really well and provide enough for our front 3.

When has Rosicky started a game alongside the main DM (Arteta) or behind the attacking midfielder in our system? We normally play a 4-2-3-1 and last season he was at his best playing behind the main forward, so in the middle of that three.. Unless, you are going play Cazorla of all people further behind, I do not see how a midfield of Rosicky,Arteta and Cazorla even works, especially against a team like Munich who keep the ball better than us, and we need players who are going to be good off the ball. We are arguing about Diaby vs Rosicky, but Wenger will probably stick Ramsey alongside Arteta anyway. <laugh>

Lol so true. In an ideal world, I would have Diaby in my midfield, but the guy is never friggin available and is a second away from a thigh injury. We need to make a decision on Diaby. Either way, we need to buy a midfielder as having Diaby is like having a player that is on holiday for 95% of the time.

Rosicky always brings a level of performance when he plays. Diaby is still hit and miss.
For a game such as this, where attacking intent is vital, I'd rather have Rosicky who will create, has experience, and can tackle back. 3 older, wiser heads in the middle for me. No Ramsey, no Diaby.

Rosicky might start if Wenger opts to place Cazorla out wide in place of either Podolski, or Giroud, with Giroud benched and Walcott down the middle.

I doubt that though, I think Podolski will start if fit, and I think Wenger will opt to play Giroud up front, we actually looked slightly more dangerous in the 1st leg when Giroud came on, I thought it was a big big big big mistake to have started Walcott up front on his own against this Munich side, our entire attack was non existent for the first half with Walcott up front, and Cazorla wasted out wide.

Walcott up front was a mistake, but I would have made that mistake too. He'll start Giroud this time.

Ramsey was one of the only players who put in a performance against Spurs. We need Rosicky to play some part... maybe coming off the bench. Though I would drop Walcott and put Cazorla on the right, with Rosicky as AM. Bring on Walcott as a super sub late on.

Anyone know if Podolski or Wilshere have made the flight to Germany at all? Arsenal.com says they were left out of the starting XI, but I am wondering if either will be a bench option at all?

Nope, both have been left out of the travelling squad, so has Chensey.

Rosicky can play on the left, or maybe he put Cazorla out wide and play Rosicky in the position behind the CF. He was brilliant in that role in the run in last season, maybe he can repeat that this season.

Can someone other than Verm be captain tomorrow? We need a good performance from him.

That's my starting XI as well.

If we go down a goal early, take Santi off pronto.

Arsenal.com are saying Arshavin will start!

In that case I applaud Wenger, he has made the right choice. With all these injuries, it's truly time to forget about this fixture and give our top guns some more rest for the crucial run in.

There is no way the team will be anounced until tomorrow and it certainly wouldn't be anounced on Arsenal.com first <ok>

Bloody hell, Arshavin? Is he still alive. So we're digging him up to play in such a big game with no game time? Also wasn't he loaned out?

Oh gawd - even I am struggling to believe we might have the slightest outside chance of a miracle tomorrow.

The very thought of Flappy, Diaby & the welsh wonder in the same team leads me to expect a severe beating tomorrow. Far worse than any of the doomers have predicted thus far :(
