I think what Chelsea did in the games against Barcelona and Bayern Munich was a masterstroke. The fact is that the odds were heavily against them in both games because in each case the opposition was far superior. I don't think Di Matteo and his coaches would have spent a lot of time musing over how they could play attractive, entertaining football that would result in defeat. They worked out an ugly formula that gave them the best chance of winning. So do you think the Chelsea fans would swap the cup for memories of a gallant attacking display that resulted in a 4-3 defeat to either Barca or Bayern?
