Schneiderlin came on more or less to shore the midfield up (it didn't work and we dropped deeper). Herrera only came on for the injury time, I think it was an attempt to get some possession around the halfway line but it was too late The whole defence panicked in the last 15 mins and hoofed the ball up the field at every opportunity, unfortunately there were only Chelsea players there to collect it. Depay was brought on as an outlet on the right wing but it had all gone to **** by then.
Could have happened any time one of them hoofed it out of defence. We put ourselves under needless pressure and then collapsed because of it, any more injury time and we would have lost that game.
No there's still a glimmer of a chance but it depends on at least one team above us having a meltdown while we go on an amazing run of wins. Funny thing is I can see someone having a meltdown possibly but do not see us going on a run at all Why? Bcos history tells us that everytime those above us have dropped points Van Gaal has failed everytime to capitalise. And I include last season in that as well.
