Had high expectations for him before we bought Morata.
Then Batshit flattered to deceive.
Looked short of confidence & motivation.
But Morata started doing a Torres. Least Torres had suspect knee, Morata looks a Healthy scratch week in week out.
Blame Conte for this poor handling of 2 young strikers.

Fabregas and Willian don’t even play the same position.

That's a bit of a stretch. With the right players every game we might have 4 or 5 more points, but City are on a level beyond our squad.
The only thing that stopped Bats and Morata was Contes' system, neither are 1 up front strikers. Had he played to their strengths both would have done better, but then what about the rest of the team not playing to their strengths?
Not a black and white situation, as always, far more is involved.

Conte built his team around Morata.

More fool Conte, Morata is never a 1 up front as Giroud has shown in 2 weeks.
Nor it seems, does he have the ability to finish.
Real don't make too many mistakes, that should have been warning enough.
He does seem to have been carrying an injury though, so let's see how he gets on from now.
Batshuayi will score goals whoever he plays for, he's just that sort of player. I can't think of a better example than Darren Bent...not much to his overall game but just seems to get in those positions to score "easy" goals.
Unfortunately for us we need more of an all rounder to contribute to more than just scoring tap ins.

Keep Fab benched until we need him in the last 20 mins.
Willian might be playing in the winger spot but why couldn't he played the Box to box role.
He's technically good enough, has the energy and didn't he play that role when he was at Shakhtar?
