Doh! too subtle for me! A bit overwhelmed by the torrents of crap being written (mainly) on the Wobby site!
'WE DON'T CARE ABOUT LAURENCE, 'COS HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT FANS, OUR WATFORD FOOTBALL CLUB, IS IN THE WRONG HANDS' #singitloud #watfordfc New chant from Mike, its so sad its nearly funny!
Evening all, after last night I wondered what the fall out might be, but so far not that much on here, although as mentioned there are other places that have gone into overdrive and made little sense. I still wonder what is happening behind the scenes over money, so have decided to go back to the beginning of the tale to see if there is any sense to be made out of the few worthwhile comments that have come from Baz or others who advise him. Very early on there was a peice in the Guardian newspaper, when someone contacted WFCL to ask where the money was coming from. Was there just a slip by the spokesman to give the bits I have highlighted, or did he say more than he should have done? So Watford will receive a "£3.5m working capital facility" (or loan) from a man whose wherewithal is impossible to gauge. But the money is not his own. WFCL's spokesman told Digger "he has access to sufficient funds" but "has no obligation to disclose his backers". Further reading to be done and I am getting quite interested in Baz's good friend Jerome Anderson.
Is it possible he has got an acute case of memory loss and will forget answers to all Q's when asked? After all he told 3CR he was still suffering from same ailment which caused him to miss fans forum and it would be unwise to sit in a warm studio...was it a relapse? OK last Saturday!!!!!!
If Bassini's intentions are good, pressure will either accelerate his plans, prompt him to sell the club to someone we may or may not like, or have no effect whatsoever. If Bassini's intentions are bad, pressure will either accelerate his plans, prompt him to sell the club to someone we may or may not like, or have no effect whatsoever. I make that three ways in which pressure would have an effect which improves the situation (accelerating any good plans, giving him less time to execute any "bad" plans, prompting someone who intended to lead the club to ruin to sell), and a further two in which it makes no difference. Even in the event that he has pure intentions (which appears less likely with each passing day) and decides that he has had enough, we do not know for certain that he will sell to an unscrupulous operator.
Hmmm well Anderson is an even shadier character arguably. Would he even be allowed to be involved in a club with his player interests? Can't believe anyone would use Basini as a front man, surely anyone fronting a backer would be chosen for his PR skills. Old Bas doesn't fit that bill at all!
Where will the pressure come from NNW? I am doubtful that he bothers himself too much over what we say on here, the WO comments are so silly a lot of the time that even I only look at them occasionally, and the other things like fb and twitter don't generally have that much to say. Listening yesterday to 3CR who were commenting on his no show, they were extremely guarded about what they were saying. The WO give the impression that they are getting nowhere with him and don't seem to want to publish things that they must know by now. The only place that real pressure can come from is the board and taking what GT and ST had to say they are extremely frustrated, but don't want to rock the boat too much. Of course he could be applying pressure to himself if things are not going to his plan whatever that might be, but he needs to find a way of getting his PR sorted quickly or he will give himself a breakdown if that is the case.
Yes he was Harrow. There is loads of stuff on the internet about Jerome Anderson which doesn't make good reading. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ent-Jerome-Anderson-comes-under-scrutiny.html
Something along those lines H. The whole set up at Blackburn really does make me wonder if this Anderson is advising Baz. Another article to ponder on is this one. http://www.blackburn.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=239129
Yes, it was reported widely that Anderson had offered Baz the chance to buy Blackburn, but that Baz looked at it and turned it down. Part of the deal was to take of the debts of £18m which I suspect had something to do with it.
I did wonder about that, but we don't know who SEM represent, so we could have. Just don't know Harrow.
There are none of ours on the SEM website. Another thought - Anderson 'offered Blackburn to Bazini' - would indicate the Bazini had access to funds already. We may be tilting at windmills here!
