Understand what you're saying Stu but to be fair to Bardo, he'd been battered all night by Hazard but you're right, the keeper should have given him the shout. We were pushing them back at the time and that knocked the wind right out of our sail.

    The difference was hazard.

No full back in the country could have played him out of the game yesterday, and the fact Bardo had no cover by Giac didnt help at all (wingers and fullbacks should support each other, not sure why gardner is getting stick for not helping Bardo out).

Bardos OG was mental fatigue for coping with hazard.

Bri, it was Wes Brown who was facing the play and marking fresh air, he should have picked Lampard up, every goal scored comes from a mistake but I've got no real complaints about our performance last night, I thought we were excellent.

Yet he's double the size of him. Bardo was a soft touch last. He should have given Hazzard what Dossena gave Mata, Mata remained anonymous once he'd been physically put in his place. Bardo was bullied and should have done better imo opinion, failed to impose himself against Hazzard completely.

Can;t understand it then - basically it was a mistake. He can;t have known there was no-one near him otherwise he'd surely have let the ball go? All about opinions though (MBC is me by the way - I had problems with my computer last night!!)

Don't think it was a question of size mate, just a massive difference in class. On that form he would have tortured most EPL defenders last night.

Marcus, when I played it was drummed into us about spatial awareness so I find it difficult to understand how the goal came about, but every goal comes from a mistake. Bardsley had a decent game last night and the team, collectively, were excellent, we got our moneys worth, so I wouldn't dream of complaining

Agree 100% but I still reckon Bardsley must've made an assumption when the ball came over that someone was behind him. That or he's still laughing at us inside!! 3 goals for and 2 goals against us this season!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the game last night. Just wish I hadn't been a supporter and had been a complete neutral!! But hey ho!

Onwards an upwards. With that attitude and ability we should be able to get something from Spurs on Saturday

Very true mate, he was fantastic. But the way I see it when overseas players come to the premiership their main weakness is the physicality. Bardo never got near him the whole game, Never imposed himself, always backed off and always give him space to run with the ball. Of course Hazard is a class above which is exactly why defensively Bardo should have been more switched on. This was one of those games for me where Bardo need to be more balanced in his play, I know he's enjoying his licence to attack but with his experience he should have recognised that his man was a class act having an outstanding game. Hazards abillity is irrelevant as he ran that left side freely. Just my opinion of course but I think a lot of inside lefts on form would have exploited bardo Yesterday because he can't handle players coming inside of him. Decent game for Bardo attacking wise but defensively he bent over and took it.
