Loving what he's saying, it does not look good for his future if what he is saying is true though, they obviously wont sign him up on high wages and are looking for someone cheaper to plug the gap, I would be all for this if it wasnt for the fact that its Barton, one of most consistent performers and absolutely of paramount importance to the dressing room, he will be a massive loss to the club in more ways than one.

All we can hope for is that Barton does decide to play his full last year and play well, then they might cave in and give him that deal.

If replacements are bought though there may not even be a spot for him in the starting lineup.

All very strange this, hoping the board caves in.
 
From what I can gather, the contract has been completely removed from the table after Barton's comments have pissed Ashley and Llambias off too much.

Aye but you can't take everything you read as gospel. It might be a PR thing to get the fans riled up against Ashley again so he gives in and gives Joey and his agent what they want. Or it might not and Ashley's just a ****. Just cause he says it doesn't mean it's true

I know and I would be of a similar view if it was anybody other than Barton. However what he is saying adds up and it doesn't seem like he is lying. Also we know from the past that Ashley is/can be a ****. I honestly believe what Joey is saying and I will stick by him. Joey=Legend Cashley=Scum

Things may add up but sometimes people put 2 and 2 together and come out with 5. And we also know McKay is/can be a ****, just like Ashley. All I'm saying is there's 2 sides to every argument and sometimes what looks to be the truth isn't actually what is happening. My first instinct was that this is a PR move from McKay to get the best possible contract for himself/Joey and I still firmly believe this to be the case.
