I honestly put this all down to the Hughton sacking...I don't care what people say, as soon as he went, we lost a lot of the togetherness we had in our squad...Players fought for each other and fought for him - as cheesy as it sounds, we were more than just a squad!

I think that we're a team nowadays who needs pressure on us. Hughton did a great job of creating a "everybody is against us" type of feel which helped create this great team spirit. I think now the press are backing off a little knowing we are probably safe, with Carroll not starting today and away at Bloomfield Road last week being a low key Premiership game, we've just taken our foot off the pedal. . . trying to possibly avoid injuries etc.

I think playing for positions next year and Pardew allowing us to play 'freely' is not beneficial. As fans, it is unacceptable that the lads seem to have taken this attitude. Still, I will support you and defend you to the death boys!!! HWTL!
