May have been unfair on Joey then, Grifter, - yet still can't help feeling the episode smacks of the Barton modus operandi.
Seems the focus on Barton is coming from "back home" to me! It is Adel, and Cisse the short time he has been on the pitch, who attract my focus, because they do the sublime every now and then at least. Barton for me puts in workmanlike performance,s but not ones a neutral will pay to watch, which they may with Adel and Cisse. I been to a couple of games live this year Chelsea and Stoke, I know not enough, but am looking forward to the game at Bolton which I will be coming over for, and will keep a special eye on Barton before I sink into ther beers afterwards. We won the 2 games I got to and have a feeling this luck will hold at Bolton, so there could well be a few beers! Cheers AAAAGH!
The fact that this barton debate has drawn such a response goes someday to showing he is not performing on the pitch. he does not justify the wages or armband and only justifies a place in the team due to lack of other options. it does make me wonder if he has something in his contract about starting every game and taking all free kicks!!
