just read that qpr ARE going to appeal the decision after all - absolutely no chance in my opinion he will get off it. almost guarantees a four game ban. ever get the feeling they are cutting their nose off to spite the face? when referee assessors such as dermot gallagher come out and state that the decision was correct, i fail to see what they will gain. yes they got to the decision in a bizarre way, but they still got it right in the end. most refs would have given a red card for that, even if people think it may have been a tad harsh as it wasn't a full headbutt

 

So THAT's why 'Daisie' seemed disinterested earlier.

The way Norwich fans are sticking up for Johnson is really quite sweet. It's like blind love.
Their heads meet in the usual pathetic stag-like way that football players tend to adopt when 'squaring up'. Johnson suddenly decides to throw his head back (as if he had been headbutted), followed by holding his face (as if he had been headbutted), followed by checking for blood (as if he had been headbutted). Sticking up for this and suggesting it was anything otherwise is pathetic.

I'm not sticking up for Barton as I believe it's his fault for rising to the bait in the first place, he should know by now he's gonna get 'extra attention' every game because of who he is. He can't rise above it, because he's Joey Barton. Giving Johnson the opportunity was foolish. And I'm not suggesting that Johnson's actions mean that the Norwich team is full of cheats, its not, like all teams it's full of professional football players who do this sort of thing.

It's about time QPR fans stopped sticking up for Barton (hypocrite) and Norwich fans stopped sticking up for Johnson (cheat).

DT, I'm not including you in this, as you would still hate Barton even if he'd scored a hat-trick yesterday.

 

I have not stuck up for him because I do not know for certain what happened - the same as most people on here who have been shouting the odds!
If there was no contact then BJ's reaction was plain wrong but that is the point - we don't know and maybe never will know for certain if there was any contact, no matter how minimal.

 

That's enough now I reckon. We're starting to make Barton and Johnson look like choirboys by comparison!
