Has he done anything in the last, say, two years to suggest he isn't a reformed character and wouldn't hugely benefit the team? The Newcastle fans say he's great for team spirit and he's playing well.

He'd be a great buy for anyone outside even the top 4 I daresay. In the last 2 years the only incident of note has been the Pedersen punch, which he apologised for and Pedersen himself said there was no hard feelings, just a heat of the moment reaction. Good player and not a "thug" anymore, I think when he leaves us he'll go to Villa or Everton.

I don't think Everton are in a financial position to pay him. Is he still banned from Liverpool? I think the ill-feeling towards him is misguided. I'd love him to come to us but he'd probably set his ambitions slightly higher. Spurs, Fulham, Villa etc could do a lot worse.

Depends if you inlude being made to train alone (well not with the first team) and having two weeks wages fined before the start of this season as anything wrong.

Can't see why he'd move to QPR anyway.

    No offense.

No for me. Good player but a liability. Adel's tantrums are enough for one team!

He has class on the pitch but lacks it off,but to be fair he seems to have grown up in the last year..so maybe hes the kind of player Neil could put on the straight and narrow.

I can see him getting pissed off at Taarabts tantrums and turning on him. Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, but Barton just wouldn't suit your dressing room with him there. On the other hand his set pieces and crosses would be perfect for DJ Campbell and Bothroyd, which could keep you up with him on the wing like he is for us. However I hope we keep him because he's settled here and right now we're getting the best out of him.
