    Hes signed a four year deal which as he is 28 it makes complete sense to me. Its his final pay day and to be quite honest I think its good business for everyone.

    We can move on.
    Barton gets his 4 year security and away from the **** and a fresh start.
    The club saves his wages, which benefits the club.
    QPR get a great player who can lead them to prem survival. Of which I fear the worst for them but he can try.

    I know hes a good player but come on. rewind back 2 years and we wouldnt have gave a rats arse if he left or got his head knocked off. Football can be fickle at times.

    WE MOVE ONWARDS AND UPWARDS WITH THE PLAYERS WE HAVE.

    Undermines his own argument by going to QPR I'm afraid.

    Much like with Nolan dropping down a division needlessly, I see only one motivation for his actions. Rhymes with mead.

    What a way to repay the club that stood by you, paid your wages when you spent almost the entire Championship season out injured (and were ****e when you played!), and got people calling for you to be recalled to the England squad.

    All in All he's played consistantly well 1season in the 4years he's been at the club.
    Miss his character but he's made a big giant step backwards imo.

    As I say I'm utted as a player that he has gone not as a person.

    If he loved it here so much he could of accepted what was on offer and kept his mouth shut.

    Both him and Ashley see like pigheaded people and neither would back down so it came to this.

    If him and Nolan refused to sign contracts because of the length or the pay, that is up to them.

    But if a pay structure etc. is in place why break it the first time someone tries to push their luck.

    Bit sad to lose 2/3rds of a good midfield. Will Tiote be less effective by himself, or will the French lads muscle in where Nolan and Barton used to?

    Have to say that QPR is a funny choice though, money notwithstanding. Nowt wrong with them, but they remain prime candidates for relegation.

    I'm sure Raylor can fill in right midfield, where Barton was. As well as left-back. How about we give him the number 9? He is our top scorer.

    Ashley is the **** in all of this! He didn't want to offer him an improved contract and Joey was even willing to take a paycut. Can't believe how fickle people are, he's a great player and wanted to stay but Ashley didn't want him here anymore.
