i seems Mr Barton has an opinion about everything except why he's playing so ****e,yesterday was the 1st time this season i felt we under achieved (excluding Fulham) time to get the worry beads out
The flow and creativity we showed against Newcastle and Villa seems to have been lost. Our depth of talent in defence is wafer thin, and in attack too, now that Campbell's out. Mackie did well considering but it's going to take time. I just hope we don't fall too far behind before the January window. Four or five good purchases, and there's everything to play for. In the meantime, it's possible that with Gabbidon back, and Adel stepping up, and the likes of Tommy Smith and SWP, we can do a good enough job to get us some points over the difficult next five games.
Joey Barton discusses QPR team-mate Adel Taarabt with Ian Wright http://audioboo.fm/boos/507023-joey-barton-discusses-qpr-team-mate-adel-taarabt-with-ian-wright
Why is Barton discussing Taarabt so openly anyway? You won't catch Joelon Lescott on the radio mouthing off Tevez, or Lampard spouting about Torres' poor form, or any professional talking about a teammate for that matter. Warnock needs to tell him to keep his trap shut and start playing football, but I fear he doesn't have the balls to.
If that happened then i will forgo any future visits to QPR as I will have the little toe rag ... live on TV with my fastest gypsy throat punch, Yesterday he took a corner in front of me and the lads in the corner sung there's only one joey barton ... i looked him in the eye and shouted thank **** for that! ... I was told to sit down by the meathead steward ... he has gone straight into my book and will be first against the wall come the revolution .. I also said Newcastle are doing better without him ... Lads he can't play ... Challenge tell me one great moment from a match over the last 7 years? name one goal, pass or tackle ( that wasn't a foul ) ... He is one large c**ty monkey and the daft buggers sing his name
This is outrageous. Could you imagine any other player in our side so openly criticising a teammate(or getting away with it)? I couldn't quite believe the quotes before i heard the clip, who does he think he is- Joey Barton is now QPR's official spokesman is he? I want to see Warnock issueing statements saying how in future players shouldn't discuss sensitive club matters publicly. Forget the fan who posted something on a message board, sort out the dressing room first Neil.
To be honest neither of them have performed this season, they should both stop opening their mouths and concentrate on what they do best...
Totally agree Grifter, trouble is Warnock is not operating from a position of strength here - he is happy to have a go at his own players in public (Traore), discuss their future and character with the press (Adel) and go on about a multitude of things that aren't his business (Tevez, England etc etc) in the media. He has certain rights as manager, but can easily be accused of double standards if he does attempt to impose some discipline on this rabble - especially if a pseudo intellectual like Barton gets freedom of speech into his head. Best deterrent for Barton would be for someone to clearly tell him that his followers are not laughing WITH him, they're laughing AT him.
It was foreseeable he would stir up a lot of trouble at QPR. Bumping into another little troublemaker does the club no good at all.
Jury's out on Barton - He's right about Adel, who needs a poke up the ar*e every now and then. If Joey works closely with NW and stays on message, he'll motivate the team on the pitch. If he pushes the "Barton" agenda only, there'll be chaos At the end of the day, NW has to control and fashion Barton, and get the best out of the guy as a player and a captain
We're playing much better without him, and honestly, from what I've heard from numerous sources (players and otherwise) he causes disruption everywhere he goes. A few of our newer players, like Cabaye, even said that Barton sometimes makes the dressing room and training a little bit tense. Barton also threw a dressing room strop at Leeds because Cabaye got corner kick duties. And then of course we saw the supposed quotes about his time at QPR so far, where he kept criticising players. I'm very confident that now Barton has gone, many of our best players don't feel so suppressed any more and can feel more bonded as a team. After all, with players like Cabaye, Tiote, Jonas, Coloccini, Ben Arfa, Krul and co, you can see that it's our quietest and most modest players who are actually the best ones. They don't have to be gobby ****es like Barton to perform well on the pitch.
I got a bigger thrill from watching Taarabt's 25 minutes on Saturday than I have from all of Barton's play since he joined us. I thought Mr B would make a difference, in the same way that Mr T does, but if I didn't know who he was, I would have guessed he came from one of the lower divisions (e.g. Tommy Doherty).
Yeh, for me too Rod-nee. Adel worked hard and tried a few things, even though they didn't quite come off. Joey worked hard, but he doesn't seem a great creative player, and not one you'd pay the admission price to see.
